Management is incompetent. They rarely answer office calls and we regularly had issues with payment processing, maintenance, and construction.
Construction isn't just about loud noises and road blockages, those are just the obvious problems.
There were times I was delayed from leaving my apartment because workers were working on my door. Sometimes workers would show up on our patio unannounced. They're friendly enough, but it was uncomfortable to see people looking into my apartment window in the morning.
When maintenance came, we couldn't tell the difference between hammering and knocking, so maintenance tried to force their way in! I could have anticipated their arrival, but there's no notification system in place for if maintenance is on the way. And management does nothing about it because its not their department.
Finally, after having moved out, I accidentally overpaid my final dues but the property company refused to return the money, revoked access to my account and won't elaborate on whether charges were made. All they will say is its not being handled by onsite management, which is unacceptable.

I wouldn't wish this apartment experience on my worst enemy.
When we signed our lease, we were told the construction would be done by Summer 2024. It is now almost Fall 2025, and the construction is unbearable. There is constant construction noise starting at around 7:30am and lasting until 6:30pm Monday through Saturday, making it absolutely impossible to work from home. The workers randomly block off exits and entrances, so you never know whether you will be able to get to the gym or parking garage. Both pools have been closed all summer, and yet the management has made absolutely no effort to accommodate the residents. They have been completely unreceptive to requests and cannot give any actual answers about when construction will end or what the construction workers are even doing at this point. We have had multiple maintenance requests go completely ignored for months. And management thinks they can slap a bandaid on the problems by offering residents a breakfast or a car wash after years of apathy. Oh, and if this hasn't convinced you yet, the buildings test the fire alarm systems almost every two weeks at random hours, so you may wake up to screeching. This apartment has provided anything but the luxury living it advertises. My best advice, look elsewhere.

Never came across such bad management. A short intro to this review - We are moving this summer from NJ to Dallas and looking for a 2BD 2Bath apartment/condo. We called the leasing agent via phone. He mentioned to apply online and I clearly mentioned we will confirm the apartment only after we visit in person. For unforeseen reasons, our move has been changed to later date. I contacted the leasing team (Isiah). Got response back saying we will give you a link for refund , after 2 weeks of my initial email follow-up. This week Haley got back to me saying we are not going to give your refundable security deposit of $750 back as the application was approved. Both parties agreed upon only confirming the apartment once we visit it in person as we were living in NJ. We feel this is cheating and making money on applicant’s security deposits. Looking forward to take this matter further and lodge a complaint. Please be aware of this bad administration and pathetic response.

I have lived at Renaissance at Preston Hollow since 2020 before Greystar took over.
I still live here because of the convenience of the location to my job, the neighborhood and I love the closet space that is provided. My biggest issue is how hard it is to reach the leasing office.
Construction has been ongoing since January 18, 2022. Thankfully I have not experienced as many issues as others in the reviews. We have been told “it will be over by X date” for a couple of years now. The presence of the construction crew was reduced a few months ago after we were told they would be finished. They are not. They are still making exterior repairs to balconies and stairwells. They are onsite Monday through Saturday. They do yell loudly, bang on buildings and make it difficult to work from home if you have web based meetings.
The leasing office is understaffed. Since Greystar took over, reaching someone by phone is impossible. The phone systems do not allow a voicemail to be left anymore. I will say that they have very recently implemented a system where they return missed calls shown on their caller ID. If you need something though, it is best to send an email or go to the office.
Both pools have been closed all summer and the main pool’s opening was recently delayed.
Maintenance requests are done timely. I have not had any issues there. If they cannot fix something right away, they communicate that with me and what is causing the delay.
I was not happy with the mandatory rent increase this year since construction is ongoing. Greystar is being sued by the Federal Trade Commission and State of Colorado for allegedly charging hidden fees and using algorithms to determine rent. They also settled a lawsuit where they have to pay damages for charging fees that violate the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. They say “rent is market” but I don’t see how with all the obvious issues and damages construction work is causing.
Trash is always sitting out because other tenants put trash outside their door outside of trash hours including days trash pickup isn't scheduled. I wish we could opt out of valet trash since we have never used it.

Edit: Fix the gate!!
I live at the Sorrento condominiums across the street from the backside of the Renaissance apartments facing their gate. The nonstop construction noise beginning at 6:30 AM every day is insane. I don’t know how anyone over there deals with it. It’s all day long for weeks. I hope every single person that lives anywhere near it has broken their lease as we don’t even live in that apartment complex and we’re considering breaking our lease because we’re tired of hearing it.
