When I first moved in things were tolerable. But ever since they changed the guy in front and the only person who treats residents right everything has gone downhill. The new staff is rude, dismissive, and openly racist in the way they treat residents. They act helpful when they’re trying to get you to sign a lease with “4 weeks free rent” specials, but once you’re locked in, the treatment completely changes.
The property itself has become unbearable: constant noise because the walls are paper thin, dirt and trash left around the complex, and no real sense of safety. Packages get stolen regularly, and management does nothing to protect residents or hold thieves accountable. Instead, they protect the wrong people while ignoring legitimate concerns.
It’s clear the new management does not care about residents, especially Black residents, who are treated with no respect or dignity. This place is not safe, not clean, and not worth the stress. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Living at The Bridge of McKinney has been a huge disappointment lately. I’ve been a resident here for nearly two years and while I used to think it was a great place to live, recent experiences have completely changed my view. I am beyond frustrated with how little is done to protect residents’ belongings and how unsafe it is to have something as simple as a package delivered here.
I had a package delivered to the mail room, but I was never notified that it arrived. Because of that, it sat there unattended and by the time I realized it was there, it had been stolen. As someone who works a regular 9 to 5 job Monday through Friday, I am almost never home when my packages are delivered. When the lockers are full, packages are just left out in the mail room. I should be able to trust that my package will be safe until I can come home and pick it up, regardless of how long it’s there, without another resident feeling entitled to steal something that I worked for and paid for.
What’s even worse is that despite there being cameras in the mail room, theft is still not deterred. After I realized my package was stolen, I immediately contacted the leasing office, hoping they could check the cameras to see who took it, only to be told that they do not have access to the footage. What is the point of having cameras in the mail room if they can’t even be used to protect residents’ packages when something like this happens?
I am deeply upset that someone living in this complex thinks it’s okay to steal from their neighbors. It’s incredibly disheartening to know that another resident has something that I paid for with my hard earned money and there is nothing I can do about it. I pay nearly $2,000 a month to live here. The least I should be able to expect is that my belongings are safe. It truly makes me question if this is the place I want to continue calling home when my property can just be taken with no consequences and no solution offered to me at all.

The office and maintenance staff have been amazing, they are so quick with any issues we have and are always so friendly and welcoming. This has really made me happy in our home here at the Bridge!
