Do NOT rent from Sagewood or any other Hillwood Properties! We lived there for 6 years with no issues until we got flooded. Flood occurred from the 3rd floor due to a faulty part/suppressor in the heating closet causing the vent to close and the sprinkler head to go off. This caused flooding on all floors- 1st, 2nd, 3rd. The apartments ended up flooding TWICE- Saturday and then Wednesday morning. Saturday at 6 am the apartments started to flood. The leasing office didn't open up until 10 am that day. The property manager, Pamina Lasichanh, did not show up on Saturday. At 10 am the leasing agents only repeated what the manager told them on the phone- "call your insurance, they are responsible to putting you up in a hotel, the apartment complex is not responsible". The manager was lazy and called us at 4pm that night to check in on us. She didn't leave a number to call back or anything. We couldn't get ahold of the manager until Monday when she showed up. And she told us she wasn't even suppose to be in the office on Monday, that she came in due to everything going on. Making it sound like we should be GRATEFUL she even came in on Monday. That day they looked at the moisture levels and claimed the flood was not that bad, and the apartment would be ready to live in again at the end of the week....even though the restoration company on Saturday said it would take at least 4-5 weeks. The property manager said she would waive the 30 day notice for everyone to move to a different unit, but would require a TRANSFER FEE!!! We had to get the Regional Manager, Stephanie Wright, involved and she was just as bad as the property manager. Stephanie Wright said the restoration company does not speak for the apartment complex....well they are the experts... so are y'all cutting corners? They have zero personal skills and they only cared about money. They kept trying to blame the tenants on the 3rd floor. After fighting with them, they waived the transfer fee. Don't expect this management to care about you if something happens. Half of our apartment was flooded, with water coming out of the outlets and breaker box. They only reimbursed us our rent for the last week we weren't there. With how everything played out- they should have reimbursed us the whole month of October or at least when the flood started since we had to stay at a family's house until we moved into the new apartment.
