UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW:
I am beyond disappointed and hurt by the level of unprofessionalism I experienced at Prosper Crossing today. I had placed an emergency maintenance request and hadn't received any updates, so I called the leasing office at 1:29 PM. After being transferred to the Property Manager, Sarah, I was told they had been short-staffed and she apologized. She said a maintenance technician would be at my apartment around 3:00 PM, and although I couldn't be home, she assured me someone would still come by.
At 3:07 PM, I received a motion alert from my home security camera. When I checked the footage, I saw the maintenance tech enter my apartment with two leasing office employees, Sarah (PM) and Leslie (APM). Without much communication, they walked into my children's room. While the tech was working, I heard Leslie on my camera say, "I'm telling you these kids have gone through some trauma, I don't blame them..." The rest was inaudible--but that was more than enough.
How dare anyone walk into my home and make such personal and judgmental remarks about my children? You do not know me, my story, or what my children have or haven't experienced. I am a survivor of domestic violence, and I am not ashamed to say that. But for anyone on the leasing staff to gossip or speculate about me or my kids based on noise or rumors is completely out of line and unprofessional. My children are smart, kind, and amazing human beings--and they deserve respect.
What was supposed to be a maintenance visit turned into an invasion of privacy and an offensive, inappropriate conversation about my family. The hole they cut in the wall remains unrepaired, and I've received no follow-up since.
This experience has made me feel completely unsafe and disrespected in my own home. I was seriously considering renewing my lease, but after this, I want nothing more to do with this property. If this is how the staff operates--making assumptions, breaching privacy, and gossiping inside residents' homes--I would not recommend this community to anyone.
Original Review:
I've been a resident at Prosper Crossing since April 2024, and unfortunately, my experience has been filled with ongoing issues, lack of follow-up, and a clear disregard for resident concerns. As someone in the industry, I approached every situation with patience--but that patience has worn thin.
Move-In Experience:
The initial tour was unprofessional--the leasing agent was more focused on job inquiries than showing the property. I wasn't able to view the unit I leased, and when I moved in, it was unlocked, filthy, and clearly not ready. The carpet had visible dirt and pet hair, and something sharp embedded in it injured my daughter on day one. Despite staff promises, nothing was done. I had to clean and fix things myself just to make the unit livable.
Maintenance Issues:
Emergency maintenance has been unreliable. I was once locked out with my children--including an infant--and had to resolve it myself due to keypad issues. A tech "repaired" my dishwasher, but it never worked, so I fixed it myself. I also received a noise violation while we were asleep, with no clear explanation. My lease renewal was sent late, leaving me with barely two weeks to decide.
Major Ongoing Concern - Leak & Health Hazard:
For months, I've dealt with foul odor and wet carpet in my children's room. The smell worsens with the heat on. I assumed it was pet urine and deep-cleaned the area, but the issue returned. Maintenance eventually checked and found the problem in the wet area but said the resident above refused entry.
The assistant manager came by and said someone would investigate further on Monday--but no one followed up, despite multiple calls and texts. I'm currently pregnant with three young kids, and this situation poses a serious health risk.
After months of unresolved issues and poor communication, I no longer feel safe or valued as a resident. If you're considering living here, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The lack of professionalism and accountability is unacceptable.

This property has great amenities as well. I was looking for a client of mine and this was my be of their consideration.
Only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is that there is a train track that runs by it. Not sure how mich noise it would be.

We are so excited to move in! Very first impression, I walked in for a quick tour and was met with an attentive and kind leasing agent! I did a self tour and loved the space, it was the perfect floorplan for what we are looking for and in a great area. On second walkthrough, we were met by Kayla, who walked us through two floor plans and answered some questions about the upcoming availability. So far, the team we have met with is funny, kind, and professional, so we are looking forward to this transition greatly!

The leasing office doesn’t disclose to you that you will have hidden fees of an extra 300-500$ a month. My rent was based at a certain price and now is 300-500$ more every month and I’m forced to just accept it because I’m in the lease. They also don’t care to ever come get your trash and they close the clubhouse daily at 6. The gym has errors to where you are locked out and cannot get in and it locks you out of the mail room as well. The managers and leasing staff just sit there and do not care… they laugh and make jokes while they sit and enjoy the amenities we pay for that we can’t use. Leslie and Kayla don’t care at all
