My best friend lived here for 4 years and then I moved in about 3 years ago. I had an exceptional experience here! Shiny hallways, great smelling elevators, super speedy maintenance, HIGHLY rare polite, professional, and helpful office staff , and beautiful property. Great location, and the walls are actually thick so you can live in peace. I cried when I moved out 2 weeks ago. I had to move to downtown Dallas, otherwise I would have stayed here for a very long time. I hope the quality of service stays the same. I would return to Parkside at Craig Ranch to live if I'm ever back in McKinney. To the office staff- I've lived in so many different apartments all across DFW, and wanted to say your hard work and professionalism does not go unnoticed ❤️ Thank you for a luxury and exceptional living experience you provided. Also, now my expectations are so high I'm not sure how to go about apt shopping in downtown Dallas 🥲😄

Disappointed Resident After 1.8 Years
I’ve been living in this community for the past year and a half, and while I’ve appreciated the amenities and environment, I’m compelled to speak up after some disappointing and frankly upsetting experiences.
Recently, I was sitting peacefully in the outdoor common area under an umbrella table with my 10-month-old son. He’s at a beautiful milestone where he just started standing on his own, and with me right next to him holding him securely, he was simply standing on top of the picnic table holding onto the umbrella stand for support — nothing dangerous or disruptive.
A leasing staff member walking by abruptly told me that he shouldn’t be standing on the table — in a rude and unnecessarily harsh tone. I clearly explained that I was holding him the entire time, thinking perhaps it was said jokingly. But to my surprise, she repeated the comment again, seriously, with the same condescending tone.
It was embarrassing, confusing, and honestly, disgusting. What is the point of having these outdoor areas if we’re not allowed to peacefully sit, relax, and enjoy some time with our children? Am I not free to interact with my baby in a safe, supervised way in my own community?
This wasn’t the first time I felt micromanaged and disrespected by the leasing team. On another occasion, I had a few guests over, and they left their shoes neatly outside my front door for a short while. Immediately, I received a rude call from the leasing office saying I cannot keep anything outside my door except for a mud rug. No courtesy, no simple reminder — just straight-up hostility.
Let me be clear — I respect rules when they are communicated kindly and logically. But I do not appreciate being treated like a troublemaker or rule-breaker when I’m simply living my life respectfully. This community advertises itself as family-friendly and welcoming — but that’s not what I’m experiencing from the management side.
It’s high time the leasing staff treats long-term residents with basic courtesy and respect. A little empathy goes a long way.
— A disappointed but honest resident

DO NOT COME HERE if you care about good management. Melissa Chron, the manager (after she replied to my post to contact her) does not return calls. She says she's going to do something but doesn't follow through. Horrible management. The apartment complex is going downhill even more since she's taken over. I live in Building 26, and it’s been disappointing. It’s one of the outside buildings with key fob access doors to the building, but residents keep propping the doors open with rocks—and Melissa does nothing. I’ve reported it multiple times, but they just say, “residents keep doing it,” and never fix it. I’ve even had strangers knock on my door more than once. Management (Melissa) does not care about your safety.
The building is dirty. Food, glass, and stains have been sitting in the hallways and stairwells for months. In 8 months, they’ve cleaned the hallways twice. Trash constantly blows around the parking lot, especially in Phase 5, which feels totally neglected.
They don’t have valet trash (which I like), but instead, they drag trash cans behind golf carts several times a day (I've counted it about 6 times a day) It’s insanely loud—I work from home and have to pause during meetings when it comes by. It's like a train.
Maintenance is an unprofessional and sketchy. One guy watched videos in my apartment to figure out how to fix stuff and smokes weed either residents. Another guy just walked out mid-job when I tried explaining the issue. The smart locks here have failed on me twice, locking me out even with full battery. Management still hasn’t fixed the root issue.
People smoke all over the stairs and throw their cigarette butts everywhere. There’s a giant pile of them near the fire room and no one cleans it up. I’ve even raised safety concerns about a stalker and asked if they can please enforce the doors being closed and was told there’s nothing they can do.
The place looks nice from the outside, but behind the scenes, it’s poorly managed and they don’t care about your safety or the condition of the property. I won’t be renewing.
Update 6/8/25 (after posting the original review and asking the leasing office to fix it, they came and cleaned it up bc of the review once and never came back so there truly do not care) Here are more photos of the hallways you'll expect in building 26, this garbage has been sitting on the second floor for 2 weeks now. And this is the hallways you'll expect to have on the first floor bc they never clean this building, though I called the leasing office and asked them how often are they supposed to be cleaning the building, and they said once a month, but they never clean unless you ask them to. So they hire maintence guys who are not doing their job. And the reason why they get away with not doing their job of cleaning the building is bc the manager of them or leasing office does not quality check their work. In fact you'll never seen anyone who works here checking anything. And still the doors of building 26 will always be open to anyone in the world to come in bc they do not enforce the doors to stay closed. They allow the resident to use the many rocks around the building to hold the doors open, and there are camera in the building looking at the doors, but they never check those to see who keeps on opening the doors with the rocks. So anyone from anywhere in the world can come knocking on your door. You can violate most polices (unless it's a huge thing) and get away with it.

This morning we discovered that our car was missing from the parking lot.
We had just bought it yesterday and parked it.
We filled out a request form for the administration this morning because they don’t operate at night.
The request wasn’t seen — and in the meantime, our car was towed, and they demanded documents that, obviously, were left inside the car!
Tomorrow is my son’s birthday — we were preparing for it, and now the whole day is ruined, and we are being charged $300 because they towed our car!
Previously, I had deleted my four-star review because we received a phone call from the management.
But now, I will not delete this review.
The people responsible for cleaning the outdoor area came into our private yard — not just nearby, but inside our yard — and used a leaf blower to blow leaves directly onto our clean laundry, which I had left outside on our patio chairs.
The person doing this was clearly acting irrationally; he saw that he was blowing dirt onto our belongings and onto the baby stroller, but he did not stop. Only when I started recording on video did he come over and attempt to explain something — speaking in Spanish.
He even offered to enter our yard to “clean” — but why would that be necessary after causing the mess himself?
I will attach photos here.

Just basing this review off of the great experience we had with Taylor. She is a fantastic leasing professional and highlighted many of the great features of the complex during our tour. You can tell she deeply cares about the current residents and does everything possible to make new residents or prospective residents feel at home. She definitely contributes to the excellence of the complex at large and is a tremendous asset to the community. This is one of the best leasing walkthroughs we have had in the McKinney area thanks to Taylor.
