Speaking on my friend’s behalf. She has reported several times about her not having hot water in her apartment for several days with this winter. and having issues with super high electric bills due to a wired issues in her apartment. My friend already hired an electrician from her own pocket to see if she could fix the issue but fixing the problem will cost her a lot of money when she is not the person responsible for this. She was offered an onsite transfer but was told that the day she was getting the key for new unit she needed to turn in the old apartment key. That is ridiculous insane!! Who will moved out in hours?? With this weather?? Manager answering reviews on her own convenient?? Incredible ridiculous!! Please DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE IN PEACE!!

Instead of helping the community during a difficult time, they chose to make things worse
by leaving people stranded. This place has zero regard for the well-being of its residents.

want to reiterate that I am fully aware of the Orchids of Carrollton’s parking and towing policies, which I have diligently followed during my five years as a tenant. However, as outlined in my letter, the circumstances on January 11, 2025, were far from ordinary due to the severe storm, which created exceptional challenges for everyone in the community.
It is clear from the facts that the towing of my vehicle was not an independent action by the towing company but a decision initiated by management. This decision disregarded the extraordinary conditions and the safety guidance management issued prior to the event.
After carefully reviewing your response, I understand your position. However, I stand firm in my belief that this decision was unjustified given the extraordinary circumstances.
To reiterate, I have proposed the following resolution:
Reimbursement of the towing fees incurred due to this incident.
A review and revision of the property’s towing policies to ensure future actions take extraordinary circumstances, such as severe weather, into account.
I see no need for further discussion unless it pertains to implementing this resolution. I have presented my concerns clearly and in good faith, and I trust they will be addressed appropriately.
Thank you for your time, and I hope this serves as an opportunity for the property to reflect on its policies and approach to tenant safety.

We’ve been residents at Orchids of Carrollton for almost five years and had no issues until the new management took over. Since then, their practices have become increasingly unreasonable and tenant-unfriendly. A prime example is the towing policies—they are strictly enforced with no consideration for extenuating circumstances, such as severe weather, which has led to unnecessary stress and financial burden.
Communication has also declined under the new management, with little effort to address tenant concerns or provide clear guidance during emergencies. This drastic shift in management style has diminished the sense of community and made living here far less enjoyable.
If you’re considering this property, be cautious and aware of the current management’s policies. Long-term tenants like us have noticed a significant decline in the quality of service and resident care.
