Prospective tenants should carefully weigh these details before making a decision. Security Concerns: The security gates are frequently inoperative, and the rear gate remains open, allowing unchecked access to the premises by both residents and non-residents alike. Staff Conduct: Initial interactions with the management and staff were consistently unsatisfactory, characterized by a discourteous and dismissive attitude. However, there have been notable improvements in the office-visit experience recently, suggesting a positive shift in management's approach. Maintenance Issues: The responsiveness to maintenance requests has been troubling. Issues such as potential mold were not properly addressed, and a lack of follow-up on specialist consultations has been a concern. Facilities: Upon moving in July 2022, I faced significant issues with the air conditioning, which took over a week and multiple assessments to resolve. The maintenance team's handling of the situation left much to be desired, including leaving debris and trash in my bathroom. Hygiene and Community Maintenance: The management of communal spaces has been poor, with two weeks' worth of accumulated trash highlighting a neglect for proper sanitation management. Additionally, water supply interruptions occur without prior notice, affecting daily routines. We have resorted to keeping bottled water on hand for cooking and drinking, though this may not be feasible for all families. Water Quality Concerns: There is also a concern with the quality of water during and after repairs, often leading to unexpected water cutoffs throughout the day. Pest Control: I recommend investing in an annual pest control product, (such as a Home Barrier)and spraying in the fall or winter to effectively manage pest issues, recognizing that individual control varies in a communal living environment. Conclusion: While my experience has not been intolerable and there are signs of improvement, the issues with maintenance, security, and overall management professionalism significantly impact the quality of life. For the price, it is manageable, and efforts to accommodate a diverse community are evident. Prospective residents should review these aspects thoroughly before deciding.
