Long read but worth it. Absolutely Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience. Avoid This Complex I would give zero stars if I could. I signed a lease for a studio apartment in May that was supposed to feature floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony, and a skyline view. The move-in date was set for June 26, perfectly timed to line up with the end of my current lease on July 3. Everything seemed in order, until I received a call on June 18, just a week before my move-in date, saying the unit I signed for was no longer available. Why? Because the unit had been “destroyed” by the previous tenant due to infestations some sort. Apparently, the damage was so severe they had to tear out the flooring and cabinets, and it won’t be livable for another six weeks something they failed to catch until just now. That alone is disturbing and should have been communicated far earlier. To make matters worse they now have that exact unit back up on their website to be lease July 12. Their proposed solution? A completely different unit that lacks every major feature I signed up for. No balcony, no floor-to-ceiling windows, and instead of a skyline view, I’d now be staring directly at a parking garage of the high rise next door. And the cherry on top? the rent for this downgrade is higher than what I originally agreed to and signed my lease for. The only thing they offered me was a refund of the application fee. When I asked if they would at least honor the original rent price, especially considering the major downgrade in amenities, they said no and told me there was “nothing they could do.” They also claim they can’t find my original lease that I signed in May, which I’ve asked for multiple times for documentation. The level of disorganization and lack of professionalism here is astonishing. I’m now left scrambling to find new housing with less than two weeks’ notice, all because of their negligence. If this is how they treat future tenants before you even move in, I can’t imagine what actually living here would be like. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Proceed with extreme caution.
