I toured with Nathan and he was the nicest person ever! I did not have an appointment and I came in during lunch time, but he still took me on a tour. He was very detailed and opened to answering any questions I had. Another thing I like is that he wasn't pushy either... He noted that I can keep following up with them to see if there will be more availability in the future. He sent me a detailed email to review in my own time.

This property is under new management and they are fixing the issues that were a problem before. The office staff and management are kind and responsive. Manager Don is the sweetest person ever! The home interiors are gorgeously, remodeled with high-quality finishes. Really fun location, walkable to entertainment. Highly recommend!

Apartments are good, toured the 3B3B apartment but strange thing was they scan DL for security and keep it in their system as long as they want! I know displaying the ID and usually the touring person keeps it for security purposes. Here, they scanned ID in their application and won’t let you tour without that.
Apart from touring registration, experience was good they tour you the property. Some of the problems reported were management issues. Apartment was decent but in 3B3B, one of the room having wardrobe as hanging doors and layout is very strange.
Good offers but not sure how it performs with management in long run!

I had the pleasure of touring this fantastic apartment complex, and it is definitely one of my top choices. Its amazing location simply cannot be beat and is situated next to many of Dallas’ historic sites. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond in answering my various questions. Each of the units Mr. Padilla showed me were in pristine condition. Overall, Gateway East at the Arts District is the perfect option for potential renters who desire the luxury of Dallas at a reasonable and affordable price.

Do. Not. Move. Here. Good customer service on bad reviews is their way of doing what they're best at: nothing!
If you, like Gateway East at the Arts District, do not care about your own safety, the safety of your family, and/or the safety of your property, Gateway East is the home for you!
Complete with a resort-style pool, Gateway East is the perfect destination to witness at least four cars broken into with their windows smashed in — and at least one without — and receive absolutely no statement, responsibility, acknowledgment, much less any apology, from the complex.
Even cooler than the pool is the dog salon… where you can take your dog to remove broken glass from its paws, days after the mass incident… because the shattered car window glass of four vehicles was never cleaned up once the vehicles were finally able to leave.
Excited for gated parking? Get unexcited! You’ll pay a hefty monthly fee for an unnecessary gate key, as the gates are never closed! Not even the gates that random pedestrians enter through… I know I’d take the shortcut, too, if it were accessible nearly (if not) 100% of the time!
But don’t worry… if you don’t feel safe leaving your vehicle in the conveniently-public “private” parking lot, you can always buy a garage for an additional $125/month! The fun part about the garages is that those aren’t safe either! …but they’re safer than the main garage!
When my Uhaul was broken into at 4:30am the night/morning I moved in, I had the luxury of looking outside and seeing a man confidently walking out of the complex through the open gates. I loved having my wifi box stolen from my door (on the 3rd floor). I loved spending $1,000 to replace my windows (not to mention how much was stolen from me that will, simply, never be found or replaced).
According to the complex, they “can’t control what happens in the parking lots.” And that makes sense! They only have (at least) four entrances that don’t even close — much less lock. If I was profiting off of my residents’ detriment, I wouldn’t take responsibility either! If I was profiting off of my residents’ detriment, I know I wouldn’t change a thing either!
Gateway East! Your life, their luxury! Welcome home!
