I lived here for a year and it was pretty good overall, but we couldn't agree on a lease renewal where they wanted a fairly large increase. They wanted to "negotiate" way to late while I had already found another place to live down the road for similar size and cheaper. The unit still isn't leased, which I tried to explain the opportunity cost but was left with "that's what the unit is worth". And now they've lost money from this unit this year even if they didn't raise the rent. I'm sure it will be rented in the near future though. but with other apartments being built/renovated, I can see this place having to readjust prices So renter beware! Renewal season may impact you the same way and they don't budge. Now onto the apartment itself. The location is good, the community is small, and parking was never really an issue. While I was there I didn't see any break-ins. The maintenance guys deserve all the praise and are quick, efficient, and have professional courtesy. They're worth 3 stars alone. But they are a 2 man crew from what I could tell so when/if things get hectic its basically those 2 guys running it all. I did have a package missing for one that didn't go to the shipping locker. Even though there was picture evidence of it being dropped off. So someone could have swiped it, but "they don't control" that package drop off. So be cautious of delivering anything that can't be put in the locker. The property management is ok, nice when you're looking for an apartment but not as courteous when it's time to renew or leave. Nothing great about them, but nothing bad about them either. The building itself is old. Lots of issues with water in the parking garage. Things are not cleaned. I have never seen the stairwells or hallways cleaned. Things are dirty and could use a little TLC to make it look/feel nicer. The paint job on the external at the time was nice when it was finished, but I felt they should have prioritized other areas to fix. Again, 2 man maintenance crew who do a great job, but they can only do so much. The gym is small, but I would head over to Trophy Club if you want a better gym experience. In the end, I probably would have stayed if it wasn't for such a large increase in rent at the time. I did enjoy my time there, but after leaving there are a lot more options in the area for similar prices and sizes.
