NEVER — AND I REPEAT — NEVER RENT THIS PLACE. DON’T EVEN BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME AND ENERGY HERE.
If I could give zero stars, I would.
We moved to this apartment complex a year ago and had a genuinely good experience at first. The unit was nice, everything worked, and the environment seemed well-maintained. We even went out of our way to recommend this place to several friends — at least four other units were rented because of us, and we didn’t do it for money or referrals. It was an honest recommendation based on what we thought was a quality living experience.
But that all changed when we decided to transfer from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom unit. We paid a $250 transfer fee thinking it would be worth it, but the moment we moved in, it became clear that this was going to be a complete nightmare. The new unit was handed to us in disgusting condition. The fridge door was broken, the dishwasher didn’t work and practically fell out when we tried to open it, the dryer was completely useless, and the washer/dryer door was damaged. There was no ceiling light in one of the bedrooms — something we were never informed of, and would’ve absolutely declined the unit had we known. On top of that, the mirror frame was cracked, the pendant light above the sink didn’t work, and the bedroom door knob was broken. Worst of all, there were cockroaches in the unit. Yes, cockroaches.
We submitted a list of known issues in writing before we moved in, and still, management gave us the keys without fixing them. Then, instead of taking accountability or offering a resolution, we were told we’d need to pay another $500 if we wanted to transfer again — on top of the $250 we’d already paid. That’s not just outrageous — it’s a slap in the face.
And don’t even get me started on the management. They don’t respond in time, they don’t care about tenants at all, and they simply ignore your calls and emails. The only excuse they ever have is “we were in a meeting.” What meeting lasts three whole days with not even five minutes to return a call or email — even after you try contacting them multiple times? People have plans, schools many stuffs — we can’t keep walking into the leasing office every other day just to be ignored or brushed off.
This place went from being a home we recommended proudly to something we now regret every single day. The management is careless, unprofessional, and clearly more interested in squeezing fees out of tenants than providing livable conditions. Do not make the same mistake we did. You deserve better.

As we move out of Devon on Northgate, we just want to say a big thank you to Mariya from the leasing office. She’s truly been the heart of our experience here.
For the past two years, Mariya has been kind, reliable, and always ready to help. From quick maintenance fixes to simply checking in, she made sure we felt at home. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares the way she does, with a big smile.
Our apartment was wonderful, well-maintained and peaceful. Even after two years, it still looked brand new, and every maintenance request was handled promptly and professionally, which made our stay so comfortable.
We even referred two of our friends who now live here—so we’ll definitely be back to visit, and every time, we’ll stop by the office to say hi to Mariya.
Thank you, Mariya. You’ve made these two years really special.

The apartments are okay. But the front office management needs drastic improvement! They have an excuse for any and every issue that arises. They hardly never answer the phone. Theres been instances where I've called the front office multiple times and got no answer, just to walk over in person and the attendant is just sitting there on their cell phone. It seems as if they make up policies off the top of their head that go against common sense, just to avoid having to do actual work and treat their tenants fairly. I've been living at this property for 2 years now, and as the countless issues have piled up, the incoherent front desk has not been able to provide any meaningful help or solutions at all, just attitude! I am proud to say that I have not extended my lease here!

My husband and I have lived here for almost a year now and have never had pest control until yesterday. My husband is server and keeps his hard earned money in his drawer in our bedroom until the end of the week to deposit it. We had a mandatory clean out for pest control yesterday and when we came home 4hrs after the service our door was locked and not only did they not service our bathroom but they took over $300 in cash out of his drawer in OUR ROOM. We wanted to speak with the leasing office before filing a police report to be respectful, the First Lady we spoke with was very nice but the other two (including property manager) treated us like we were lying and insisted that pest control wouldn’t have done that. That really sucked. There’s nothing much else we can do but we do not want to live in a place where we pay rent on time, don’t cause commotion, etc… and are treated poorly when something like this happens.

When I moved in a few years ago, the property was decent. Not luxury like they promised in their advertising because let’s be honest the entire complex is painted this dystopian gray everywhere. But it was decent and clean. I don’t know what’s happened, but it has gotten so trashy over here. There’s constantly garbage all around the complex, windows taped up or covered with towels or foil, broken down cars in the parking lot. almost all of the concrete is gone from the back gate, leaving nothing but metal rods to drive over. And why is it that every summer the pools are closed? The pools remain open and cleaned every single day throughout the non-summer months but the second summer hits the pools are closed, algae growing.
