Horrific Living Conditions and Uninhabitable – A Health and Safety Disaster - Recommend Avoiding this place If you’re considering this apartment, let me spare you from making the most colossal mistake of your life. This place was an absolute disaster and a nightmare to live in. It was riddled with health and safety hazards that make it absolutely uninhabitable. From the moment I stepped inside, the condition of the kitchen countertops hit me like a punch to my guts. They were not just rusty; they were damaged and cracked to the point where they posed serious injury risks. The sharp edges and uneven surfaces seemed a constant danger, and the rusting material seemed a breeding ground for harmful bacteria in kitchen. The rusted appliances seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. Not only did they seem inefficient, their deteriorated state also posed serious electrical and fire hazards. It seemed hard to imagine preparing any food safely in such a hazardous appliances. The wooden flooring was no better. It was broken and cracked at so many places and posed a danger to walking barefoot. The bathroom was a health hazard of its own. Countertops were again in broken, chipped, rusted condition. Rusted bath fittings and fixtures suggest a complete lack of maintenance and presented a sanitary and hygiene risks. The walls in bedrooms had dirt marks making me wonder if they were ever re-painted upon previous move out. While all of this came as a shock to me, the office staff had all of these safety and health hazard concerns already noted in my move-in inspection. Despite having 4 weeks to ready the apartment before my move-in, it was clear that neither management nor maintenance gave a damn and let everything slide under the rug about ensuring a safe living environment here. The combination of these severe issues created an environment where healthy and safe living were clearly not possible. When the office had no reason/justification about why such an unsafe, hazardous, and an inhabitable apartment was given for rent, I returned the keys. Lo and behold, they proved the point in all the negative reviews and said that my security deposit will not be refunded. Sounds like the management only cares about money and doesn't care about new or prospective residents or their safety or the habitability. The office staff could not care less. Their online payment system never worked. The assistant manager tried hard to find a solution all while the manager was busy on her phone and didn't seem to care about what was going on! The apartment seemed like a ticking time bomb of potential health risks and accidents. For your safety and well-being, perhaps avoid this apartment. It’s a prime example of how a complete disregard for maintenance can turn a living space into a health and safety catastrophe. Edit - To the management office - This review is for Apt 3207, that was supposed to be moved in on August 8th/9th.
