Can we please advise all of the residents to be more responsible with their pets on the lawn. This has been an ongoing issue, and if they refuse to clean up behind their pets, then maybe the complex should consider going to a pet free residence. Also, most of the alleys are cluttered with trash thrown outside of the trashcan. There has been furniture by the trashcans on several of the alleys that has been sitting there for more than a month. Someone from the office needs to make frequent rounds through each alley to ensure that the residents are keeping their townhouse area clean and presentable. If they can't follow the rules, then those residents should receive a warning and then progressively a citation. These are some of the reasons why current residents will more than likely decline to renew their lease for another term. On a positive note, thank you for enforcing the unauthorized parking and fire lanes. I have seen a significant change in how the residents park their vehicles. Thank you.

Please fix my damn garage. My husband has been to the office two days in a row because we can’t get ahold of anyone on the phone. We have not been able to open our garage door for NINE days!!!!!!! Thank God my car was not parked in the garage because I literally would have been stuck since no one has cared to come fix it. I have called so many times and I can never get a hold of anyone. If I leave a message no one calls back. One of the reasons we chose to move here is because a lot of apartments do not have attached garages. Something weird happened to the garage months ago. I submitted a request and maintenance person came out and determined that a garage door company would have to come fix it. The company that fixed it specifically told me that they were just gonna kind of rig it to where it worked for the time being but they would need to come back and properly fix it because another issue would likely occur. Maintenance was aware of this, but the garage company never came back. I did let maintenance know about this, but just assumed that they would come back. I didn’t really think much of it since the garage was working, but I also didn’t think it was my job to hunt them down. So fast forward to now and we have a major issue. Maintenance came out very quickly And told me that they were very sorry and they would be expediting this since this should’ve been fixed months ago, but since then it has been crickets. My husband did say that whoever he spoke to in the front office has showed him that they have contacted the garage door company apparently But I don’t understand how this is at all acceptable? At this point, I would like to call a company and get someone out here and then be reimbursed, but I’m sure that that’s not allowed. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will say that the Carmel villas maintenance team has been mostly fabulous And I don’t think that this is their fault. However, something needs to be done about this

It has been now 6 months since we’ve moved out and if you’re looking to move in please please don’t.
Really go down the list of reviews, you will see so many people have bad experiences. Trust that they are all telling the truth. The good reviews were asked of them by the front office whether it was at the beginning when they hadn’t realized what a few weeks of living here would truly be like. Then there are those who were given some sort of perk and then were asked to write a review. We went to pick up some packages a few weeks ago that were accidentally delivered to our old address and we met the ppl living in our old unit and it was not surprising to hear they also have issues with management.
It was great to see they still haven’t fixed those gates a year plus later. Which made it easy to come in. They blamed it on construction while we were there but it’s a lie. They blamed the gym hours on the construction staff too which didn’t make sense truth is they don’t trust the residents won’t steal anything even though they do “background checks”. While we were living there the gates were always open, during the summer you will have the mobile home community using the pool. Which I addressed multiple times and nothing was done. I moved out after summer ended so when summer comes just be aware. They will come in after management leaves and they don’t need a fob being they just reach right over and open it. They had a big party once and throw up was everywhere in the sink and floor and we had to clean it up being we had a birthday party the following day. Management was told after the arrived after 10am! there was no number to call them to get it cleaned so we did it. It was the worse thing ever!!!
On the 4th of July pool was closed due to glass in the pool which led the RESIDENTS out of a pool!! Everyone is welcome here!! the homeless, the surrounding communities, everyone will enjoy the amenities except for YOU, the one paying. I held off on writing because even after we moved out we were being charged for several months and they were making it so hard to close out and we didn’t want them to retaliate and make it even worse for us. After several months of us being moved out we kept calling for the last utility bill they would never send it and later we receive a letter that they sent it to collections!!!! We had to threaten them to go higher for them to fix it explaining we never received a bill and after asking for several months they wouldn’t listen that we hadn’t received it and we wanted to be done with this community. Management was rude and was determined to make our lives difficult because we spoke out on all the issues and wouldn’t renew!
We were the law enforcement officers who lived on Florence dr when we arrived they said they didn’t offer courtesy officer positions which was fine but what wasn’t, was what they advertised to future residents. They told all new resident and people touring that they had officers on site. We were stopped by multiple residents about concerns about the community and homeless trying to enter their homes and we were confused why they addressed us(mind you we were not in uniform we were walking our dogs) and not management and that’s when we were told management was advertising to them we worked here which was why they signed the lease to feel safe. They were even told that management would speak to us about parking our police units in the front! HOW CRAZY. All of this without our knowledge or consent. We spoke to them and they said the resident were liars and that never happened.. I could keep going and sharing but I’m sure if you read others comments you will learn to trust me there is not one good thing about this place. Every comment I saw had the same issues we did.
Denton is growing and everywhere you turn apartments are being built and there is many townhome communities! Do yourselves a favor and save yourself the migraine and DONT move here!!!

UPDATE: after 6 months since we’ve moved out, they sent our final payment to collections bc they charged us for damage that happened from a storm they never fixed! last year in the spring there was a huge storm and we were told by maintenance that it was because of something the construction workers did by leaving something open in our attic, which we never used! it caused our house to flood and it took them 2 months to fix it and they never repaired the lights that broke bc of the leaking ceiling that damaged the light fixtures. there is no way to contact these people, but we are disputing! y’all are awful people! DO NOT MOVE HERE they’re allergic to accountability!
i included pictures of how my poor elderly mothers room was left for two months! and still did not fix and when it rain later through out the year it kept leaking, we eventually moved out.
i work from home and depend on the internet to be working and for the last week 2 separate times my service dropped for 2 hours+ and spectrum technicians came out just to tell me it was something the maintenance workers were doing to internet. i think it’s irresponsible to do something like that and not properly notify us. we recently moved from an apartment complex that would always send us emails and proper communication ahead of time when are services would be down. it’s very annoying to have to call spectrum and then they send technicians just to tell us it’s something the workers here are doing. the office is still not accepting calls or responding to emails/voicemails either. i hope in the future there’s proper communication between the property workers in the office to properly communicate to residents on stuff like that. we don’t plan on renewing lease either due to the internet issues here either spectrum is already not a good service to begin with and as a community we’ve had several outages this year (spectrums fault not the property) and last year for hours and days at a time, if you work from home or if you’re a student the internet provider here is awful and not reliable. i also hope in the future they build a place for the children to play because it’s worrisome seeing them play in the streets, i remember seeing a parent having to put up their own sign up to tell cars to slow down where the kids usually play.
