It was a relief to deal with such a positive assistant manager, I haven’t come across many welcoming leasing agents. But she definitely made me feel at ease with my decision to apply to this complex! Good job!

Quay was an excellent tour guide who made my experience at Carlisle on the Katy Trail Apartments enjoyable and stress-free. She answered all my questions with patience and clarity, making sure I had a complete understanding of each option available to me. Her guidance throughout the process helped me make an informed decision that suited my needs perfectly. The apartments are spacious , a little older and could use some updating but very well-maintained.
The location was perfect, being just minutes away from the Katy Trail and many dining and shopping options. Overall, I highly recommend Carlisle on the Katy Trail Apartments to anyone looking for a great place to live in Dallas.

SLUM LORDS sums it up. Deferred maintenance everywhere. Water will be shut off for 2 days with no notice and no compensation. Black mold is prevalent. Homeless people living in the laundry room. They charge you collectively for water and electric and then charge you to do laundry with the utilities you have already paid for monthly. The only redeeming benefit is there location.

Old apartments and true to its price. Energy provider is onboard so cannot decide much and also in next one year it might be demolished to remake this 80’s property. There is no washer/dryer or connections at all in apartment, have common laundry room which are not clean and people might smoke there as it smells! Overall, outdated property but if looking for cheaper option, can give it a try.

Now in my second year as a resident, I still enjoy my overall experience so far. Our leasing office staff is helpful and friendly, including sweet and savory treats from time to time for both humans and pets. While there have been intermittent issues with our water being turned off, it has been due to new construction in the area, and while inconvenient during those brief times, it has neither been life-threatening nor for extensive periods of time. With the savings on my water bill, I have kept water in gallons and smaller bottles in my apartment and rarely have needed those reserves. The are many college-age residents and older adults, some single and some families - all of us typically quiet and cordial, and even community meals from time to time. At times, typically only on random weekends, the nightlife of our Oak Lawn neighborhood can get loud with considerable traffic, but it has not been egregious. The Uptown area has many great amenities such as the McKinney Avenue Trolley, Starbucks, and a lot of shopping and people-watching in the nearby West Village. The community is certainly aged (built c. late 1960s), but it is not falling apart for those of us who engage our included maintenance services and are good stewards of our units and our neighbors' spaces. My unit does not have laundry, but nearby laundromats (when our own have been under some type of repairs) are great places to mingle with new faces. This is a great starter and starting-over community, and I am delighted to have made the decision to both apply and remain!
