Despite submitting a work order nearly two 1/2 weeks ago due to a broken garage, I have yet to receive a resolution. After a week of not hearing back, I reached out and was provided with an excuse for the delay. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident, as there is consistently a lack of urgency in addressing maintenance issues. I have had to make multiple calls to request repairs, which is unacceptable. I made a call to connect with The manager Mattie to get a commitment on when my garage would be fixed and she stated the vendor would be out today (7/22/25) to diagnose and repair it, do you think that happened? Of course it didn’t. Did Mattie call to communicate with me you ask? Of course not, she’s clearly not competent enough to even communicate, but what she will do is blame her staff for not calling!! Absolutely ridiculous the hoops you have to jump through here to get ANY assistance.
I have already gotten STUCK in the garage once and when I made a call to after hours maintenance it took over an hour for a response. Furthermore, the personnel sent to assist me did not speak or understand English. Great help!!! 🙄🙄 This level of support is woefully inadequate.
The property is often unkempt, and it is clear that customer service and maintenance are not prioritized. I have experienced similar difficulties in the past, including a broken toilet & broken garbage disposal that required numerous calls by me to get repaired. I find it concerning that while tenants are expected to meet their rent obligations, the property management company fails to fulfill its own responsibilities.
I would advise potential tenants to exercise caution when considering leasing here, as the company's lack of communication, customer service and inadequate maintenance may lead to significant frustration. It appears that the company is more focused on securing leases than providing a well-maintained property and satisfactory customer service.

It used to be a decent place but last year or so RealPage took over and management along with property has gone to shit. Few things to note:
-people pile garbage over, in front, side and everywhere possible so dump trucks can't empty it (see pic). If you live close to a dumpster enjoy the free smells, flies and cockroaches.
-people drive 30mph through the tight roads in the community, do not recommend letting your dog or child play outside.
-no one picks up after their dogs, there's multiple corners in the property covered, and I mean the whole grass patch, in dog shit. Don't walk through grass. Also everyone lets their dogs out in the patio to bark all day long, make sure to get hearing protection.
-full volume Spanish music playing til 1am in the parking lots every night.
-office is always closed and no one is there, you can call the # but it says it's been disconnected.
I could keep going but you get the point. The pond used to be nice too, but they stopped feeding and now every fish is super underfed and skinny, not worth fishing anymore.
Icing on cake was when moving out the office worker didn't make eye contact once staring at her computer the whole time. They're too busy for whatever you got going on, save them the trouble and find somewhere more accommodating.

I’ve been living at Carrers Home of the Lake for almost three years now, and I want to take a moment to share my positive experience — especially with the front office team.
Rosa, in particular, has always been incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. Anytime I have a question or need assistance, she’s quick to respond and always follows up, making sure everything is taken care of. Since she started working here, I’ve noticed a big improvement in how things are handled, especially those that depend on the office staff. I’m truly grateful for her professionalism and the way she treats residents with care and respect.
Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the property manager. She is rarely in the office, hard to reach, and not very responsive when it comes to issues that require her attention. It often takes a long time to get answers or action on anything that depends on her, and her attitude doesn’t feel very resident-friendly.
It’s disappointing, because this community has a lot of potential — and staff like Rosa truly make a difference. I hope the management improves to match that same level of dedication.

Upon moving in there was some issues and without hesitation she handled them immediately and took care of us. She is very understanding and friendly. We were blessed to have such a wonderful person at this property.
