I wish it had a zero star rating. Worst apartments ever, roaches everywhere, overfilled trash, mailboxes that wouldn't lock. Nancy the manager has the worst attitude, very unapologetic, does not care about the tenants. I do not understand how she has not been fired with the rude way she goes about doing business. Christie was utterly rude since day one we arrived. Tenants are not notified about things that happen around the apartments. I found one morning a worker inside my patio without my notice or permission drilling the patio floor at 8:00a.m. Even though Chesapeake apartments who was under the Michaelson Group when I moved in, and now moved under Fairmont Management Company. I found centipedes, to get anything fixed was a hassle, I moved in to a dirty apartment, & before leaving I was charged for carpet cleaning for not having an invoice as proof. I took photos of the clean carpet as proof, Nancy charged Rhino the insurance, when I had already pad out of pocket. They received the money and up to now Rhino has been trying to close this issue since September 2022, and months later this ridiculous issue hasn't been resolved. I contacted Lilly Diaz the regional manger, she was nice enough to resolve some issues, but the last email I wrote to her she did not reply. It doesn't matter how many different managements take these apartments, if the Manger's and staff are not changed nothing will change. This is one of the most insecure neighborhoods, I had to call the cops on one occasion for fear of my personal well being from a neighbor. Water always came out very little, it was never hot, if lucky it was lukewarm or just plain cold. It always smelled like marijuana and cigarettes, I complained to the manager she said she couldn't tell people what to do or not do in their apartments. The gate is never locked, more than words here are the following pictures.

I've had a wonderful experience living at The Retreat at Lake Highlands. The apartments are spacious, well-maintained, and offer great amenities. What truly stood out to me, however, was the exceptional service from the leasing. Consuelo went above and beyond to make sure my move-in process was seamless. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and always available to answer any questions I had. Their assistance really made the entire experience stress-free, and I felt truly valued as a resident. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great community and top-notch service

I spoke with a lady with long black hair and long black fingernails. I don’t know her name because she didn’t give it to me. Her customer service was horrible. I asked if I could speak with the manager, and she said no, I would be dealing with her. So I left. Did I mention the horrible smell that hit me in the face when I got out of the car or approached the front office? I wouldn’t recommend anyone living here. Most of the time, they put on a good show when you first get to an apartment and only start acting like this after you sign the lease. But they let me know they were going to be horrible right up front. They didn’t even wait for me to apply.
