Disappointed and Frustrated -Not Worth the Price
I've lived at Parks at LeBlanc long enough to say this place is a major letdown. I pay extra for covered parking, but it's constantly taken by others and instead of enforcing towing like they claim, management told me it's my responsibility to handle it. That's unacceptable. The property itself is poorly maintained. Trash is scattered everywhere, the gate has never worked, and the pool is always closed during posted open hours. There are no real amenities to speak of, and the apartments are so outdated that my utility bills are through the roof. To make matters worse, the manager, Elizabeth, is extremely rude and condescending. Rather than helping residents or solving problems, she dismisses concerns and acts like basic responsibilities are beneath her. Frankly, she needs training on how to do her job and treat people with respect. If you're considering moving here, think twice. You'll be paying for services and features that simply doesn't exist. Management is unresponsive, and the overall condition of the complex is far below what they advertise

I would NOT recommend moving here. Our experience has been a nightmare from day 1, and we cannot wait to be rid of this place.
The unit was not ready on the Saturday we had agreed to move in, and I was told it would be ready by the afternoon of the next Monday. Since I had scheduled my movers for Sunday, I rescheduled them for Monday. When we arrived around 3pm on Monday with all of my furniture in tow, paying the movers by the hour, the unit was STILL not ready. They rushed to get it finished while the movers sat around on my dime. The floor was not completely set yet, the paint on the counters and fireplace was still wet, and the resurfaced bathtubs were not dry. We were not told about most of the things not being dry, which resulted in damage and paint footprints from moving furniture into a unit that was simply not ready.
Also, who paints countertops?! The counters are utterly disgusting. They hold onto every bit of dirt and it’s impossible to get them clean. The walls and cupboards and everything else were painted with the lowest quality paint possible. It’s water based, so anytime I try to clean, the paint just wipes away with the dirt. Horrible.
Then came the rats. We battled them for several months. It was a huge infestation, and we had to literally fight tooth and nail to get management to do anything about it.
Both my car and my partner’s car were broken into in May. Several other neighbors also got their cars broken into around the same time. The gate has not been operational since we moved in a year ago. Always told it’s being worked on, but still nothing. Maybe if it had worked we wouldn’t be out over $2000 for car repairs.
Management is EXTREMELY disorganized. They failed to correctly document our renter’s insurance declaration that we sent them no less than FOUR TIMES, and they charged us $30/month for renter’s insurance in Sept, Oct, and Nov. I have a massive paper trail from the multiple times I followed up requesting our refund of $90. To this day I still have not seen a refund.
When we turned in our 60 day notice, management said my partner was not on the lease. She was definitely on the lease when we signed it, so I took a closer look at it and discovered that the lease they had documented didn’t match the one we signed at all. Not only was my partner’s name missing, but our rent amount and move out date were wrong.
Since our original lease stated a move out date of 7/23 (instead of 8/30 as they had documented) I brought in an updated notice stating we would be out by 7/23. We were glad to be able to get out a month earlier. Since then, we have received not just one, but TWO notices on our door marked “important” stating that we needed to renew our lease or turn in a notice. I took the first one into the office to make sure they knew we’d be leaving, which the manager assured me she was aware of. Yet somehow we still got another notice 2 days later. At this point I can only laugh.
A new manager started recently in the last month. I thought maybe she would turn things around, and she promised to call me when I brought all of this to her attention. I never received a call, and those 2 notices still made it to my door under her watch. The office still owes us $90, and she has yet to make that right. I don't expect this complex to get better any time soon.
Save yourself and your sanity. Steer clear of this place.
