I’ve been living at The Dylan for 2 years now, and unfortunately, the experience has been far from pleasant. The hallways are consistently dirty and reek of a foul odor. In all my time here, I can only recall the hallways being cleaned twice.
The trash chute is always filthy, contributing to the bad smell in the hallways, and to make matters worse, there are bugs crawling around. I’ve repeatedly raised this issue with Ashley Guzman, as have my neighbors, yet nothing has been done to address it. For weeks now, the trash chute has been off-limits, which is baffling, considering I’m being charged for pest control and trash services. Pest control has only been out once—when I first moved in—and trash is self-service, not valet.
The parking garage is another nightmare, with dumpsters constantly overflowing. And don’t get me started on the smoke detectors—they go off at least once a month, on every floor, for hours at a time.
While the apartments might look decent from the outside, the inside tells a completely different story. The elevators are either painfully slow or outright broken, the gym equipment is outdated and still hasn’t been repaired, and overall, this place just isn’t a good environment to live in.
I wouldn’t recommend The Dylan to anyone—it’s been an extremely disappointing experience.

LGBTQ+ RENTERS: STAY AWAY. The Dylan is openly discriminatory, and Greystar lets it happen.
Living at The Dylan, managed by Greystar, was not just bad—it was traumatic. I was wrongfully charged after moving out, and those made-up charges were passed along to a collection agency with zero documentation to support them. Financial abuse, plain and simple.
But the most disturbing part? The outright homophobia I experienced while living there.
Ashley, the community manager, used gay slurs and treated us with absolute contempt. This wasn’t some isolated slip-up—it was a pattern of hate and harassment. We reported it. We sent documentation. We spoke to Nick. We followed every so-called “proper channel.” And still—nothing changed.
Eventually, everything leads to Cynthia, the regional manager for Greystar. Her response every time? “I’ll look into it.” And that’s where it ends. No follow-up. No accountability. Just silence.
And here’s what you’ll see next:
Greystar or The Dylan will respond to this review publicly with their standard PR line—something like, “We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Please contact us directly so we can address this.”
Do not be fooled. That’s what they put on every bad review, and when you do contact them “directly,” it all goes right back to Cynthia—who, once again, does nothing. Just like she always has.
Greystar doesn’t care about LGBTQ+ rights. They don’t care about fair treatment. They protect abusive staff, ignore discrimination, and bury legitimate complaints. This isn’t just mismanagement—it’s a company-wide culture of silence and disregard.
If you value your safety, your dignity, or your rights—do NOT rent at The Dylan. Do not rent from Greystar.
They will gaslight you, overcharge you, and then ignore you. And if you’re LGBTQ+, expect to be disrespected and silenced.
This is not a safe place to live. Period.
