This review is intended for Isaiah and doesn't necessarily reflect my feelings about the property. Things here have been up and down over the last 3 years. Most issues aren't specific to the Brookfield Properties but the way in which they are handled is. But that's another story for another day. Isaiah has truly come in like a breath of fresh air. He is professional, personable and overall just a pleasant addition to the leasing staff. I can tell he truly cares about the tenants and the properties. I've seen him helping elderly or disabled residents, picking up trash and mopping up spills in the common area. I've asked Isaiah a thousand times about amenities and security issues and he's always honest and transparent. I do think Brookfield Properties is on its way back to what it was when I first moved in. And I hope and pray Isaiah stays a part of this community for years to come.

Stayed here for 6years and saw the change in management and residents. The new managment with Brookfield Properties are price gouging low income tenants and closing down every amenity so we could no longer access. My neighbors had a shoot out right in front my door November 2024 that left about 23 bullets in the walls. And Brookfield management did allow me to move immediately for safety reasons and still charged me rent for months I left after they signed my notice to move and approving my move with no termination fees. When I tried to recover my deposit they added charges saying I owe for dry wall damages and for unpaid rent! I have video evidence of leasing manager Cody white guy lying on camera saying they printed my deposit check and then decided to keep it because they needed to make some changes to the amount. 3 months later when I certified mailed them threatening to sue for my deposit check they emailed me back saying now I owe them. I almost lost my life staying in these apartments because of the lack of security and the kind of tenants and visitors they allow in the building. I got no apology for the inconvenience and trauma that caused me to spend almost $5,000 to relocate to another apartment. I had to pay movers, storage unit fees, $2,000 deposit for new apartment without Brookfield not upholding their agreement to run me my deposit back. These people in the office are uneducated , don’t make themselves available to communicate with tenants and thieves. My 4th year living there the building became ROACH INFESTED AND FROM WHAT I SEE AND HEAR ON THE BROOKFIELD FACEBOOK PAGE ITS STILL ROACHES IN THE HALLWAYS lobby area ETC. The stains in the hallway floors been dirty and not shampooed for over 3 years. Every time I placed a maintenance order they would mark it as complete knowing it’s been left undone. I’ve placed 211 calls to code compliance to come fine Brookfield properties for being slumlords still nothing. The pool was closed for 3 years while we paid over $1,500 in rent and some more and could never use the rooftop pool spa room gym no thing! BROOKFIELD PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY WAS THE WORSE OWNERS AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY IN DALLAS IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I still would like to sue them for my secure deposit I never received as well as many others I know didn’t get there’s as well. Plus sue for non economic damages for being in the middle of a shoot out in my apartment while they had many warnings and the tenants safety concerns. The police stay coming to this building daily to the point they need to start holding the owners accountable or shut the entire building down. I would never suggest anyone living here! Dogs pee and waste on elevators and in the wall ways. There was 43 cars in the garage got windows busted and everyone had to replace there own windows at our own cost. Children have been found in the lobby sleeping on the couches with blankets or underage and unsupervised teenage kids hugged up romancing with no respect for the adult tenants walking pass. This place is pure GHETTO. The projects . DO NOT MOVE HERE .

Living here 2 years and it’s had its ups and downs. I enjoy my apartment, but I do want more amenities available. Leasing and maintenance are awesome, special shout out to Isaiah! He’s an advocate for residents rights and he makes it his mission to accommodate residents. Overall the Continental is an ok living environment.

Let me start by saying I never lived here & was bitten by bed bugs from sitting in there main lobby area. Me and a coworker told management and they did nothing, said nothing. Beware before moving into this place there are frequent homeless squatters sleeping on the furniture that the residents pay for in the lobby & on the rooftop. Also, multiple ppl were shot & nearly killed in September the literal day I got hired. Save yourself the stress.

Where do I start? I pay nearly 2K a month to live in the worst apartment building I've ever stayed in in my life. The elevators are constantly broken down, the floors are always nasty. Once maintenance leaves for the day any emergency situation you have they will not answer, if they answer until the next day. There was an apartment a few floors up that had a leak and water came all the way to my apartment and water was coming out of lights and the ceiling. I called for emergency maintenance over 10 times starting at 11 pm at night but didn't have no one come to my apartment until 9 am.
They have NO security so random people walk in all night destroy the amenities and just hang around in the lobby. Instead of getting security or concierge they just lock up the amenities and now the residents who pay to stay here can't enjoy. That's why I'm even leaving a review, I went to the roof top to get some fresh air and it's locked yet again. Why do I need fresh air? Because the windows only open 8 inches and after a while you start to feel claustrophobic. Went to the office to ask to open the door upstairs and guess what they are closed, it's closed during the day so much I'm wondering are they even in the office anymore.
Homeless people sleeping in the lobby, in the weight room, in the bathroom downstairs. Homeless People hangout in the back of the building and charge their phones.
The positives: The people in the office are great but I don't think they getting the help from superiors that they need. Every time I try to address an issue with them I can genuinely tell that they are trying but are stressed because the owners don't want to spend the money to fix issues. My apartment itself on the inside is nice. But the walk to my apartment is so frustrating because the environment SUCKS.
Simple fix: Get 24 hr Concierge or security and at least 1 janitor to keep the place clean at night. I pay 2k monthly so from all these apartments in this building this complex has to make over 500k monthly so affording security and a janitor shouldn't be that dang difficult
