Beware. If you are reading this, please head my warning before applying or moving into this apartment. I even read the reviews and saw some comments about roaches before I moved in, but I thought to myself this “oh reviews are old” “that it wouldn’t happen to me”. But it did. When I first moved in May I noticed in odor coming from the apartment and so did the leasing agent Miss Vicki she tried to brush past it by saying you can make it very homey and light some candles. I was sitting on the floor assembling my bed, I found a small roach, crawling on me DAY 1. I tried to brush it off, but as I kept inspecting the unit, I saw dead roaches in the cabinets and drawers I cleaned so much with bleach, raid, all purpose spray, but I kept finding little roaches one time I found two in the corner of my room two days after moving in. I contact the Leasing Office and they sent pest control to come out, pest control only set out bait traps for the roaches, which is a slow acting treatment. I had to send another email to Leasing agent, begging them to have the pest control spray the unit down this is only two weeks of living in this apartment, I mentioned to the leasing agent that they have an investigation problem and she rejected my claims saying that the pest control would’ve told them it’s an infestation. She showed me the logbook of the pest control. They have been treating the apartment for the roaches for almost 3 months prior to me moving in!!!! If that’s not an infestation , I don’t know what is! Mind you I was first notified about the unit in February when the tenants moved out, I moved in at the end of May. I think leasing agents got upset when I mentioned the word infestation because by Texas law, you can break your lease if your apartment is inhabitable due to safety issues, including pest and exactly what I did. By the way, I put myself on the pest control list for a second time and they never came to my unit! I called off of work for that Friday since pest control only comes on Fridays. I stayed home all day and they never came to my unit to spray. On top of that on the online portal, they marked the pest control work order completed. The only person I actually like in the front office is Carolina sometimes she can be a little rude, but she’s very sincere when it comes to my issues and problems. FYI, when you’re in the Leasing Office moving in and getting your keys they make you leave a Google review before they hand you over your keys. After a few weeks, I ran to Google and took down that first review. By the way, the area is very unsafe. By the way, the gate hasn’t worked since I moved here actually the gate didn’t work before I moved here. They have made no attempts to fix it or have it operate. The gate stays open 24 seven so it’s easily accessible to anyone. Thank goodness I haven’t gotten my car stolen or anything like that. One good thing I can say about this apartment conflict is that the maintenance is spot on. As soon as you make a maintenance request, they come and fix it. They are under new management so I’m hopeful for the future but as of right now I have put in my 60 days notice because I just can’t. I spent almost $200 every week since I’ve moved here ordering out because I will not use the kitchen because of the roaches. Since I do not cook in this apartment, I have not seen any roaches, but I am still weary and I’ve never had this experience before so I will not remain in this complex anymore.
