Re: The Bryant Apartments- I was told in a text message I had a $1181 credit for six weeks for my rent only to find out through the portal I’m being charged $519.40. I find this to be suspicious and irregular. Who announces that I’m supposed to get a credit and then turns around and charges me something with no explanation as to why? I first moved into the apartment, July 19 only to find the air conditioner doesn’t work and the maintenance person didn’t even know I was moving in. The floor was very dirty. I found a screw in the garbage disposal. The cable connections were blocked. I was unable to plug in my Spectrum equipment so I had no cable or Internet for an entire week. I find that there’s bulk service cable here and I’m being charged for cable that I no longer want now because it has no local channels and I was told by Spectrum I would have to pay an additional $65 a month if I wanted local channels. I had to buy a tv antenna to get local channels. I know I requested a washer and dryer before moving in and was told I was going to receive one on Monday, July 28 only to find there was no machines delivered and installed. I’m not even sure I want a washer and dryer now. I am extremely disappointed, frustrated and angry as I was told one thing only to find out I’m being charged for something without credit to my account or explanations and no returned calls. I had to sleep in a hot apartment the first night I was here. I have called several times to the office and sent text messages only to receive no reply except once. The office secretary acts as if someone had killed her dog and is not friendly. I wasn’t even given a chance to pick an apartment. Just assigned one. #1073 front door only opens 3/4 of the way. I’m not even sure if the six week $1181 credit still applies now that I’ve looked at the portal and see a $519 charge. I feel as if I have been completely duped. No one is giving me explanations or returning my calls or texts. No explanation was given regarding the laundromat and what to do in order to use the machines. I am extremely disappointed, and I am going to have to consider elevating my efforts to seek action and answers. I now feel my move to this Bryant Apartments was a mistake. So much for a 6-week $1,181 rent credit.
