Where do I begin? We’ve been here for 8 yrs. At first it was great…. The ladies in the office and maintenance crew were amazing. Once the apartments were sold to DJE Texas little by little it started going to 💩. The “girls” in the office were lazy & rude to residents who were passive. They never know anything and that’s when they do decide to answer the phone. They along with the maintenance man are always lying. They’re compulsive liars and say one thing one day and something different the next day. We didn’t have anyone in the office for months so there was no one to fix anything. Then we (the whole apartment complex) didn’t have water for 5 days straight. And management didn’t care. We called code compliance and the office people wouldn’t answer the door or phone. They were hiding behind the closed door while code compliance left about 10 or so citations on their office door. We finally got water, but after about a week, we had no hot water and went without it for a month But somehow I want water bill was $269. Not to mention the many leaks that they had around the property and this is not including the leaks inside the Apts. Any time there was a leak on the property we are already knew we were going to get a high water bill and when we brought it to their attention, they never knew anything. Our AC unit broke and we have been without central air since May. My husband and I bought a window unit and we were living in the living room But we were paying for a two bedroom apartment and confined to the living room. It was still hot in here at 93°.We had to send our daughter to go stay with someone in the meantime, they would fix the AC- Well, here we are at the end of August and Still no Central air. But yet we’re paying for An apartment with Central air. No one has tried to accommodate us in any way shape or form. We had to purchase our own window units . The second one we got was in our bedroom and because it was so close to where we slept, my husband got chronic bronchitis and ended up in the ER. We were told by The office manager Samantha Reyes that the maintenance man was going to be here to fix our AC which I knew was a lie because tomorrow is Friday. You may ask, what does that have to do with anything? Well, one of the things that all management has had in common since DJE Texas took over is that they will push What needs to be fixed till Friday and they leave early and we don’t hear from nobody all weekend till Monday comes and we’re back at the office. This isn’t her first rodeo with being management here. (I will give up update tomorrow My mother-in-law also lives here and it took her months just to get the maintenance man to stop the leak in her restroom, which was coming out to the floor and into her carpet and patch up the hole that was above her shower. We all work hard for our money and We could be living somewhere else were management is professional is not rude and can get things done. Or Where the maintenance man would actually do their job we understand that things happen and stuff comes up, but they should at least come and tell us instead of us hunting them down. There’s about 152 units here and about 80 are only filled. We have homeless people breaking into the empty apartments and sleeping and hanging out there. There’s people that break into our mailboxes. Our dumpsters are overflowing with trash and there’s trash all over the dumpsters. There are residents that have rats in their apartments, mold and leaks and also this is not happening to us. We still have our own issues. I’ve been asking to speak with a regional manager or someone in charge and was given an email and no one has responded yet. If y’all still don’t believe any of these reviews, look up the ascent Apts on channel 4. Hopefully, we will be getting out of here soon.
