So im going to be completely honest here.
I've been living at these apartments for the past 3 years, and at first when they were forest Glen I thought everything was decent. But honestly now, I dont recommend it, at least not an old unit like mine.
Let me start with the carpet, its old and disgusting and you'd think after 3 years they'd replace it or at least come wash it, nope. They give you the runaround everytime you call, id even go in person and still no one contacts me about coming to wash the carpet.
Secondly, id say the MOST annoying part of it all, THE ANT INFESTATION, HOLY FREAKING COW, THESE ANTS DONT MESS AROUND. the infestation is debilitating, I can't have dishes in my sink, food in my pantry or on the counters of my kitchen, literally today they got into my tortillas and i had to throw them all away! The ants come in through the cracks in the cabinets, the outlets, the cracks on the ceiling, LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!!!
and pest control is something we pay for every month and it does NOTHING to help with the infestation.
Its even in my car now!!!!
I honestly can't wait to get out of here!!
Like I said if youre going to move here make sure you inspect the unit and its somewhat new and renovated, check for cracks on the walls and cabinets because it is just hell living with these damn ants everywhere!!
I dont even wanna go into my kitchen, there's dead ants all over my wall, its just disgusting!!! Not worth my money at all!
Find a place thats comfortable, dont let the cheap prices fool you!

Lived in this apartments in 2023. Come 2025 they have sent my account to collections bc they lost my house key and threw away my mailbox key bc they were not needed. This was in sep 2023 when new mailboxes were being put in after 3 management companies failed to pick up trash and regular maintenance etc. do not live here they will change management and screw you. The current OWNER of the whole company is tied with trumps close real estate agent. Shady ever since 2022 when forest glen was "bought out"

If all the neighbors came together and made collective demands, they would have a real chance to change things. Go door to door, meet others who are suffering under the same conditions, and start forming a plan. Crowdsource a lawyer, and outline clear demands or compromises that the landlord must meet.
If not, this will continue to be the fate of everyone who leaves a review—frustrated and ignored. Leave a review calling for unity. Make it happen. No one is coming to save you, but together, you can save yourselves. Reclaim what’s yours. Demand respect.
Get a lawyer. Stop wasting time going back and forth with management. Instead, demand written letters explaining why your work orders have not been completed. If this happens two or three times, you may be able to take them to court. If you win, you may not owe the lease buyout fees, and they may have to cover your moving expenses—whatever the court decides.
You must gather reasonable proof. Under San Antonio city law, landlords are required to fulfill maintenance requests within a reasonable timeframe. That phrase is intentionally vague, but courts typically interpret it as two weeks in most cases.
I don’t know whose pockets the owners have in their corner, but this is likely your only option unless you organize as tenants. Document everything. Their rudeness is meant to scare you out of fighting back and discourage you from learning your rights—which are publicly available.
There are plenty of people in Texas willing to help if you put in the work to build your case. The law is on your side, and with more pressure, we can make the laws even stronger.
Better yet, come together with your neighbors and make collective demands. It’s cheaper, more effective—and there will always be more of you than of them.

DONT. MOVE. HERE. Unless you want to pay AT LEAST 75$ - 100$ for anything you keep on your balcony or patio. Some only have a bike, and they get changed that much MONTHLY because they’re greedy POS that would rather up charge at any given moment instead of fix anything here. Their reasoning? “It doesn’t look good there and we don’t want it there so you can’t have it. And if you do, we’re gonna keep upping the charges!” Clean as much as you want, you’ll always have bugs. The neighbors you are surrounded by are 75% crackheads, they’re always loud well after midnight, but don’t bother calling the cops, because they’ve stopped coming at this point! They’ve also only upped their prices since they took over in February. While I haven’t been here long, from what I’ve heard from a handful of others here, this place was already bad, but at least it was affordable. They’ve only upped their rent prices in recent months, so for the price of what you pay, you’re better off across the street, or down the road!! At least they don’t constantly turn off the water for “maintenance”! COME HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
