I just moved out a few weeks ago and it’s been a pretty disappointing experience the last few months. When I first moved in the pool always seemed to be closed for repairs. I even had my sister drive from Dallas only to find it was closed and there were no emails or notifications. It feels like a waste of money to be paying for facilities that can’t even be used. In fact I didn’t use our pool once the entire time I lived there. It was always closed for repairs the several times I wanted to use it. The maintenance tickets always got handled quickly which was great. But I couldn’t justify spending so much on facilities so I decided not to renew my lease. I gave my notice and got absolutely no confirmation or response. I ended up having to contact the property management company directly to get any kind of response form management. Some neighbors moved in the building next to mine and would blast music past 11 PM on week nights on their patio. And my neighbor across from me was constantly yelling and being verbally abusive over the phone or to someone who lived with him so loudly I could hear it through my living room wall. They advertised a look and lease special when I moved in but management was clueless when I asked about getting that credited upon move out. Thankfully they did accommodate but it was after exchanging numerous emails as the employee who handled my lease left shortly after I moved in. I left my apartment in move in ready condition (even my friends complimented on how nice it looked while helping me move out) and I still received a notification I owed a balance. I got absolutely none of my deposit back and when I reached out to management again for a statement of why I still owed a balance I again received no response. I went ahead and paid the balance since I don’t want to have to deal with collections. Overall the lack of communication of management, loud neighbors and pricey facilities without the benefit of being able to use them often was why I left.

The complex itself is really nice. The pools and amenities are extremely nice and I loved hosting friends during the holidays for that reason. My only gripe is the admin staff. At the beginning when I signed my lease I was booked during labor day weekend which they said was fine until a few days before where they called and asked me to move the move in date which I couldn't because everyone that was helping me could not do a last minute schedule change. Also they take the visitor vehicle registration very seriously, they towed my fiancé's car when he came to visit within the hour because we did the vehicle registration an hour too late. When I contacted the main office they just said they couldn't do anything. After recovering the car we realized that the tow truck hit another residents car with our car we took pictures and showed the main office and gave them the license plate of the other resident so they could get in contact with them. I reached out to the main office after that to make sure they contacted that resident, but all they said was that they needed to wait to be contacted by the resident. The apartment was nice, the maintenance was done in a timely manner, and honestly any defects in the apartment like the warped vinyl were easily overlooked.

I’ve lived in many apts , and 3 since I’ve lived in Texas, but this apt is def one of my top favs! I moved in Jan 2024, they didn’t have a downstairs with the back grass area, so we got a 2nd floor, the apts are 95 quite, I love the pool area, and this was our first Xmas at the apt, the office had a party for the residents, what fun we had, they gave out loads of gifts to the residents and also had yummy snacks!
The Maint, team are quick and always stop when I flag them down to ask a question! They never never complain they just stop and help me and keep it pushing. I would recommend anybody to live here and since I’ve been here, I have brought two friends over that have moved in since the one complaint that I would have is the trash service and the trash service is not even in the front offices control so that says a lot! Apt living is not always wonderful, but I’m extremely happy in my apt home and the managements open door policy makes me Feel confident that if I do have an issue that arises, they will handle it expeditiously if you are looking for a place that will give you a lot of bang for your buck. Saxon Woods is definitely a place to come.!!!

I just signed my 3rd lease with Saxon Woods and I waited to give my review until everything was completed with my new lease. I wanted to make sure I give a very honest and transparent review. I first moved in here in July 2023. Application process was very easy. When I first entered my apartment, it was not clean. There were a few things which needed attention. I completed my inventory report and went to the office to show them the pictures I had took of the issues. The property manager at the time was very apologetic and wanted to get someone in to clean. I told her no because I was going to clean anyway, even if it had been clean. No one cleans like you do. The second or third day in my apartment, my toilet started to overflow. I turned the water off and called to let them know. Weirdest thing, the tank wouldn't stop filling even with the water turned off. Within 15 minutes one of the maintenance guys came and fixed it. About a month later, my AC stopped working. In the middle of summer, this is something you want to deal with, especially having pets. By the next day I had AC again. Thermostat went out. I didn't have any issue with anything again until summer of 2024. Once again, my AC stopped working. Fortunately, it was before it really started to get hot. My compressor went out. They let me know it would be a few days to get the part and offered me a window AC until they could get it fixed. As soon as they received the part, they fixed it the same day. Considering there wasn't someone living in my unit for some time, there weren't a lot of issues with living in that apartment. I decided to move into a bigger unit instead of renewing my current lease. I talked to Destini about it and she walked me through what the process and costs would be. I had received the survey request and provided my experience with everything. I used to give reviews right away until I learned, those good reviews were not usually deserved. So, this review is over 2 years in the making. I love the vibe of this community as it is filled with trees and nature, so it has always felt like living in a community within a park. Although my children are all grown, this community does a lot of events for families throughout the year. They try to do events for the kids and parents to get to create positive memories, especially for parents who may not be able to create these experiences for their kids due to the financial constraints of this economy. I can say in the time I have lived here; we have had some folks who have been here who do not contribute to creating a great community. Thats going to be anywhere you live. Is this a perfect community? Absolutely not. Show me one that is. I've stayed here because the staff is all about providing the best community and experiences they can. My daughter lives in a new build which has the same challenges as here and she doesn't feel heard or valued. There has not been a time I have felt like I am just a number to fill a quota. I have seen some of the reviews on google regarding issues within the apartments. Your inventory report is always going to be your saving grace. If you don't let the staff know there is damage or issues, they can only assume everything is up to their standards. The office staff do the best they can to ensure everything is up to par. Just like having your own home, you aren't going to know something is broken until it breaks. They aren't going to know the washer leaks until a tenant lets them know. What they do is make sure they fix whatever needs to be fixed. Our community staff chose to work in a field dealing with the everyday public and trying to provide the best experience they can for their tenants. Does it always go that way? Of course not. They do the best they can and do their best to make it right. You won't find that in very many communities. I absolutely feel like I'm valued here and it's why I continue to live here.
