6/25/25: Proud 10 Year Resident here. Reap Management has been great the last 3 years they have been here. Any time I have had an issue they have always been prompt with addressing it and most importantly reasonable and respectful towards tenants like myself that have been here for 10 years. I have moved here and raised my daughter from elementary school to graduation here. The maintenance guys have always been outstanding and worth their weight in gold. If you are looking for a nice apartment in a low crime area (compared to other parts of Dallas) and you have a GOOD rental history, then I would highly recommend Paxton for you. It's a great location for families. No, I wasn't paid to give this review. My experience here has been great overall and I wanted to share that. No apartment complex is perfect, but this is definitely one of the better ones for the location. You're only 20 minutes from downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum, and one of my favorites the Addison area. White Rock Lake is literally within walking distance! What more can you ask for? This place is truly a hidden gem. 11/29/22: The new property management has really done a lot to improve the appearance of Paxton including new paint, repaved and lined parking lots and so forth. They are really making some positive changes. It is becoming more like the Paxton I first moved into which is wonderful. I hope they keep up the great work! 7/31/22: Reap Management has recently acquired this property. I will keep updating as the property management changes, because that can make a huge difference in your apartment experience. I will update here in a month or so... 11/29/21 Update: I had called, emailed, used the website portal and had no choice but to go to the office directly while I had COVID-19. It was a time-sensitive offer to get the best deal on my renewal and I could not get a hold of anyone. Cushman&Wake/Pinnacle Property Management property manager was unprofessional. No vetting of tenants, no real enforcement of lease policies. However, the maintenance guy is great. UPDATE: I was just informed 5/31/18 that Paxton is no longer owned by Knightvest. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds... 2/1/2017 The management here is nice and friendly. A little over a year ago I moved here from McKinney and I couldn't have made a better choice for the location and my budget. There hasn't been any major crime in this area that I'm aware of if that is a concern for you. The apartment was newly renovated when I moved in and looks great. The only major maintenance issue that I have had since I've lived here is bad wiring, but it was quickly replaced. One criticism about the property is that I wish there were more than two trash receptacles, because they do overflow very easily and becomes an eyesore. They could add two more trash receptacles and alleviate that issue. My second criticism is that while the gym is AWESOME there is no regulation as far as who has access to it and when. Children are not allowed in the gym, but kids are playing in the gym all the time WITHOUT a parent in sight most of the time! One night there was an underage teenager and some of the his friends drinking in the gym. I sent video of it to management and never received a response to know if the issue was rectified. It has become more of a hangout than a place to work out. Many of the weights have also been stolen out of the gym, which I have reported but nothing has been done to replace them or to deter someone from stealing them. A gym is an amenity that we all pay for, so when someone steals equipment from the gym they are stealing it from all the tenants. I am scared that someone is going to trash the gym, since it's not secured. I feel strongly that they should have security cameras in there and make it known that there is video surveillance in there, to deter people from breaking the rules and stealing equipment.
