I do not recommend living here. This place used to be great. Sandalwood Management took over and the place had become trashy and unsafe. Groups of men, blocking areas, so you can't pass and then laughing at you. Keeping you from parking. Many residents (I've seen groups of over 12 men gathered), have opened up “car lots”, taken over all of the parking with tow trucks and other business trucks, it made no sense for me to have to walk buildings over to find a place to park, it was at its worse when the office was closed/weekends. Trash everywhere, dog poop everywhere. Not ADA compliant for parking. Patios that make this place look run down, where we used to have beautiful grass..dirt, we used to have a pool, taken away. We used the dog park once, unsafe and flithy, never again. I went through the proper channels and no changes, it only got worse. Contacted 311 with proof, cases closed immediately, no resolve. After 7 years, I moved. The community has drastically changed (for the worse) and many of my long time neighbors had left. I couldn’t wait to follow. I felt unsafe for over a year (had an extended lease with the previous rental company and it would have been costly to break the lease, so I toughed it out) and was relieved, when my lease ended. Several issues with getting things done in the apartment to the point of taking videos/pics for proof and letting it go. For example, I needed my tub resurfaced, never done. I needed a new fridge, they gave me a dirty one, (bugs and old food on shelves, broken shelves and full of lint, etc. included). No respect for me at and I asked if they thought that was acceptable. Pest control (which residents pay for), used to come weekly and spray the area, hadn't seen that in years. Supposed to be a non smoking community because the smell was traveling through the vents. I'd come home and could not breathe. You'd think I smoked and I don't smoke anything. I had to report this company to the BBB when they tried to charge me for rental insurance and I’ve had rental insurance from the beginning and more than the required insurance. Because of all the issues, and lack of response, I now have to file a complaint with the attorney general for assistance. It should not take all of this to get things resolved. Many emails sent to management, lack of response, no response on my most recent complaint-I have not received my security deposit and I was charged for my ESA, when this company took over. Obviously, no one looked at my files to see that I was never charged and I have a copy of my contract of no charge for my ESA. I want to be refunded for being charged for my ESA. I want my refund for my security deposit. The lady who did the walk out with me, she was in there less than 10 minutes and said it’s the cleanest apartment she had seen and was surprised because I’ve been there for over 7 years. I showed her the wear and tear and what I had complained about and what needed repair. She said it was fine, they’ll just resurface the tub, replace the fridge shelves/drawers, paint and move someone in. All of what I couldn’t get. This place deserves a zero rating and a complete check on some of the residents. The area has been ruined because of this apartment complex. Positives, the previous company put up lights around the buildings and a new fence on the back side by building 10. And one other positive Damien, the maintenance guy. He saw and knew the issues, I felt bad for him. He did the best he could do. And another positive, a neighbor who kept an eye on me and my dog, making sure I was ok, with random check ins. Many videos and pics I could post, but I think the gist of it and from other reviews and reviews on BBB, says it all. I have a copy of my lease that shows I was not charged for my ESA, from 5/1/24-8/31/25, the duration of my lease. I won’t post it here. I would like my security deposit back and to be refunded for being charged for my ESA. I should not have had to make this review. I was an excellent resident. But obviously, not the type of resident preferred at Parkside.

This apartment complex was a very bad experience from beginning to end. The manager does not do their job properly and seems to only care about taking money from residents.
My roommate and I broke the lease and were charged $3,900, which we paid. Despite leaving the apartment clean and without any damage, our security deposit was never returned. This is completely unfair and unprofessional.
Cleanliness is a serious issue in this complex. There are cockroaches, and the overall environment is not well maintained. Noise is another major problem—people play loud music late at night, even after midnight.
On top of that, we often heard shooting sounds at night, which made us feel extremely unsafe. This is not a peaceful or secure place to live.
Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.

I Moved OUT 11-01-2025 at 2:00pm cause the apartment manager Mrs. Brandy the office manager had told me on 10-31-2025 told me to leave the keys in the Apt 1014 and she would come get them in the morning. Something told me to stay there to see was Mrs. Brandy the office manager was going to come get them that morning. So I called the office at 11:00 am to see when she was coming the keys , a temp worker that was there to answer the phones . The lady had asked me when was I suppose to move out ? I (Rose ) said today 11-01-2025 this morning I was suppose to be gone. They lady said she did not me moving me out today . I said Yes Mrs.Brandy , Mrs.Audreyanna and Mr.Harry before they let him go knew I was moving out. So that is a Lie. They put a false light bill on my account and did not have no clue how it got there and its a third party. So I should Mr. Harry and Mrs. Audreyanna my light bills , proved them charges was incorrect so was suppose to credit it back to my account . I never Seen that money back to my account . I told Mrs.Brandy to let here boss Mrs.Audreyanna that the credit not back on my account . The hole building 10 is infested with roaches and the root of the problem was on the second floor . They did not try to get control of the problem. I told them the apartment was not ready to move in . It was roaches and maggots under the carpet. The carpet was dirty and the apart was not clean. Moving forward I been moved out since 11-01-2025 but they still have me like I am still in the apartment. I had turned my keys in on 11-01-2025 at 2:00 pm had gave them to Mrs.Brandy office manager . I had ask her why she was not answering the phone ? Also why you did not go the keys like you said you was and why are you sitting at you desk watching me call ? You not even answering that is why you ask for my number. These are not Good Apartments to stay in .

Update: I was told I would receive a full refund for my deposit. I spoke in detail with a manager there, stating Harry was no longer with them, she apologized and said my check will be sent out asap, for my full deposit. I received a check, not for the full deposit. Is this check supposed to cover the fees I paid for my ESA? I have contacted the office, again. Left a message. I also reported this to the BBB again. I will not accept this check. Zero stars
Update: After being told I’d get my full deposit back, was told I was not due to a $300 move out charge. I’ve rent places for many moons and I’ve never been charged a move out fee. I didn’t get my money back for my ESA either. How do you tell someone one thing and then back track and say something else? I spoke to 3 people on this matter. Terrible management. Do not recommend. Zero zero stars.
