I am sad as I am writing this review because I will miss this complex. I enjoyed living at Oak Creek Apartments! The location is perfect - a 3-minute drive to HEB, lots of cool shops and restaurants around. The apartment complex was very well taken care of by the management company, maintenance requests were completed in a timely manner and the community was awesome! My favorite thing about the complex was the community garden outside! Also, Stephanie Brown is a saint. I had to move out due to unforeseen circumstances and she worked with me to make sure my move is easier. She is professional and kind. Thank you Stephanie!!

The complex is pretty nice. It’s pretty quiet. I’ve never really had a problem getting things fixed. There have been cars broken into serval times and even the mailboxes were broken into at one point. They were then replaced with better ones. The old ones were falling apart. The apartments are very covenient and close to everything I need. But they are quiet very pricey.

I lived at Oak Creek from June 2022-2023. I’m moving out of the country otherwise I would have certainly renewed my lease. The maintenance team was so helpful and responsive, and pest control was offered weekly. It’s a beautiful property that’s been recently painted and spruced up and is maintained frequently by the grounds team. There are nice and updated units and a helpful management team. Lots of great coffee shops, restaurants, bars and grocery stores in walking distance. It was a great place to live!

I lived here for about 4 years. The apartment was renovated and really nice. However, I kept getting loud neighbors. I complained, but it is something management never got under control. I guess as long as both parties are paying rent there is no issue for them. I finally moved because of it. I would of stayed there much longer if it wasn't for that. It was a nightmare experience.
EDIT: The girl downstairs was evicted. However, her dad was downstairs collecting her belongings. He told me that she did not have the money to pay her rent. From this, I believe she was evicted for not paying rent rather than noise. In addition, this went on for about 6 months and I sent videos playing the audio of what was coming into my apartment as proof.

The redeeming quality of living here before they increased rent was the location for the price. But then the property management began micromanaging what we are allowed to have on our front porch, and the other buildings around the neighborhood got bought up, closed down, and boarded up, and some of the great local restaurants within walking distance started closing down (way south philly, Lucy's) because they couldn’t find help. Still, I was going to renew, until a renewal notice with a ~30% increase in rent was sent to me.
I’m sure there are people out there that would be content with paying $1,200 for this old and outdated small studio apartment, which is why the property managers are surely losing no sleep over charging that much to newcomers.
But I think the people who would be content with living here in 2022 and beyond, are people that are coming from even more expensive markets, that don’t know/ don’t care about how much more affordable and interesting of a place it used to be.
