I’ve had a positive experience living in this community. The unit is reasonably priced for the area, offering good value overall. While the buildings and some appliances show minor signs of age, the maintenance team is dependable and responds promptly to any issues that come up.
The location is convenient and family-friendly, being right next to an elementary school and close to Parmer lane.
It’s worth noting that the street can get a bit busy during school drop-off and pick-up times, but it’s otherwise a pleasant and accessible area.
Overall, this is a comfortable place to live with a responsive management team and fair pricing.

The Good:
- Car garage and good outdoor parking space
- Dog playing area
The bad:
- We rented because we're new to area. But this community is quite far from the lively places in the region.
- Chimneys of other units don't seem to be functioning as it should; so there's strong cooking smell coming off of some units(I don't know why their fire alarm isn't going off.
- Off leash area sometimes has giant dogs (Pitbulls) which are in some other states, classified as scary dogs and need to be muzzled if they are not well trained or bark a lot. Good luck taking your kids for a walk around the community in this case.
- Given what it offers, this community is expensive. It's a free market, so I hope poor reviews and lower occupancy will drive the price down.
- most of the times, one of the two main community gates are dysfunctional.
The Ugly:
- Quality of construction is quite poor. It seems they built everything with cheapest materials and tools on the market. The management is uncooperative when things break down. Some of the maintenance staff is quite nice but they're not well trained and don't clean up after themselves.
- Management is good at PR and talking but unhelpful at large when you need them to fix anything. I don't know how many of the reviews are paid reviews by some click farm.
- Units don't have good noise isolation. And there's nothing dampening the noise on the ceiling, so when your neighbor upstairs wakes up in the middle of the night for water, be sure that you'll wake up from their footsteps. You'll also likely wake up from road noises and occasional fire trucks at night.
- if you keep the blinds open at night, you'll likely wake up on a lot of nights because of lights flashing from construction, police, or similar vehicles outside. You get charged for location, so you should also considering this quality of life disadvantage due to location.

We recently moved out of NoA on McNeil in April 2025 (when we relocated from Austin to Chicago)
Pros:
- Quiet community
- Attached 2-car garage (for the 3 bed / 2 bath townhomes)
- The leasing office staff was wonderful! We especially appreciated Emily and Avery for being thoughtful and attentive.
- We rarely had maintenance issues, but when we did, maintenance would consistently respond within 24 hours of filing a request.
- Google Fiber exists at this address. It’s super fast, reliable, and reasonably priced.
Cons:
- High AC bill. We paid around $300/mo in the summer for our 3 bed / 2 bath townhome (74 - 76 F)

Lived at Noa on McNeil for 2 years and loved it, the office staff Emily and Avery were amazing, constantly working on making the complex better. The units are very nice and you can tell renovations are quality work. Garage space was nice and the amazon locker on site was a big plus, Great quiet and relatively small community with even better management. i highly recommend Noa on Mcneil if you are considering
