I just paid my move out bill of $1,192 so I feel free to post this negative review. There have been some recent negative reviews here that are 100% accurate, and as someone who has lived here almost 3 years I felt obligated to give my two cents. Here goes:
Pros: Rent is “cheap”
Cons: It’s cheap for a reason, this place is a dump.
This is an old, rotting complex of apartments that was built in 1980 that needs to be demolished. Insulation is a joke-your AC will be running full blast all day during 90+ days because the apartment cannot retain cold air, leading to high energy bills for a good part of the year. Have fun sitting in almost 80 degrees temps during July and August!
During winter when it gets really cold your heater will be running all the time while your apartment remains around 50-60 degrees because it can’t retain heat, again leading to high energy bills. Maybe it’s the cracks in my wall (most units have those!)
This complex is also LOUD. Don’t believe the other reviews talking about how ‘quiet’ it is-I have no idea what those people are talking about. Walls are paper thin and you will hear everything that your neighbors are doing. Every conversation, argument, party, you will hear. If you have neighbors that love to blast music, your place will vibrate from their music.
I was woken up at 5am every weekday for the past couple months because one guy has a car with no muffler that backfires so loud the entire neighborhood can hear it. He will then proceed to rev his engine and then speed out of the complex so everyone can hear him, again, at 5am. What a cool guy!
Also at the beginning of the year at 7:30 am IN THE MORNING I was threatened by someone driving into the complex because I made eye contact with him for 1 second. Really great neighbors here!
The mailbox will constantly be left open or unlocked, so expect your mail to get stolen.
One time water was shut off from 4pm-10pm, the plumbers they hired to fix it looked incompetent and clearly didn’t know what they were doing. I saw residents filling buckets with pool water to flush toilets that night. Expect your water to be off multiple times a year.
The neighborhood is decent, with a lot of restaurants around which is nice. There is a lot of traffic though, and depending on your car your view pulling out of the complex will be blocked by all the cars parked on the street, which can be very dangerous. I’ve almost gotten into a wreck multiple times just getting out of the complex due to the bad visibility and early morning traffic.
Rent is cheap but in a world where housing prices are sensible a 1 bedroom here would be $750 at most. Instead it’s around $1150 which is better than most places but the trade offs are not worth it. It costs $2000 to break your lease here-it also hits your credit score as an extra insult, as if Meadowcrest Apartments is some lofty institution.
On top of the $2000 I had to pay to break my lease, my move out bill was initially $2100 due to incompetence (or maybe they were just hoping I wouldn’t notice) on the staffs part who snuck in a double rent fee. After contacting them they “fixed” it and my bill was $1192. $800 of this was a rent discount I had to pay back, the rest was bs cleaning fees that they heaped on, making this dump the most expensive apartment bill I have ever received.
I want to point out that I lived in a much nicer apartment before this and I only paid around $1200 total (including cleaning fees) when I had to break my lease and move out early. Meadowcrest apartments is nowhere near good enough to warrant all these dumb gotcha fees they throw in the lease. $3200 for this place-Take a look at these pictures, the cracks in the wall, the ugly carpet; is this the “luxury” apartment that you want to live in?
There are better places to rent-if you really need a cheap place this is a (terrible) roof over your head, nothing more. This was the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in and I am glad that I’m moved out with my bills paid so I never have to see this dump again.

The price it’s good. The pest control come when you open a reporte and never had problems with roaches.
My only problem it’s that my AC smells like mold. And after they 3 reports open, my AC just smells worst! Don’t know what to do bc 3 different people came and don’t think has a smell. I’m having really bad allergies and even my closes started to smell like mold.

Recently moved out of here after living here a year. While I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and relatively low rent, the quality of the buildings was low. Our building had severe issues with pest including roaches (which were present on my move-in day) and later on with rats. While the management tried to address these issues, the notice for bug spraying got shorter and shorter, at one point, we were given notice to clear out our pantry right before I had planned on going on a vacation. The rodent infestation was so bad that my neighbor downstairs who was a long-term tenet moved out as well.
Maintenance was good about responding quickly but on multiple occasions the issue would not be fixed and require multiple attempts to be fixed correctly

I'm a new resident of Meadowcrest... The leasing agents Tina, Angelina and Stephanie have been incredible in making my move as smooth as possible. Response time to issues has been addressed quickly. The complex is well managed and cared for and the trees are amazing! It's a quiet complex set alone within an established safe neighborhood. I know I made the right decision moving here.

I have lived here since May 2013, but manager Michael of the Brass Tap bar next to here ruined this place a coupe years ago by turning on his bar's outside speakers during karaoke nights and trivia nights so all evening you will be subject to listening to someone yelling into a microphone. There will be no one on the Brass Tap patio, and when there is it is to get away from the noise, but the Brass Tap manager Michael blares it out there anyway and to all of Meadowcrest as marketing, despite no foot traffic. It is REALLY depressing living here now, and I am eager to move. Separately, I haven't seen a bug in years, maintenance people are quick to respond, do good work and are friendly. Management refuses, though, to address the B2B problem and the Brass Tap has ruined Meadowcrest for me.
