Remember to unfreeze your credit or your application will be denied! Despite unfreezing our credit within the hour after being notified, we were unable to move forward with the application process as we had been automatically rejected which was incredibly disappointing as we really enjoyed the property, staff, and location. Definitely a lesson learned, but a hard and saddening one. If you are interested in this property learn from our mistake and please unfreeze your credit in advance to forgo losing associated application costs!

I had a very good time here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to anything I ever needed. The price is right and the quality of the apartment is great. I cannot complain. I was in a tight spot and needed a 6 month lease and they really helped me out. I’ve lived in many places and really enjoyed this one. Inside my apartment was always very quiet. Thanks again y’all. I would pick this place all over.

Keisha had me send a combination of documents weekly dragging my leasing application for a month (June 11th through today) in the realms of ‘conditional leasing’ instead of being transparent with me and notifying me that my application will get rejected due to a pending dismissal from the court even though I shared the dismissal process communication on June 11th.

27 Month Update-
I’ve lowered my rating because lately, The Mark has been missing the mark. There appear to be a lot of changes happening in the office—staff names keep changing, and responses to emails and inquiries don't typically happen.
Today, I submitted a maintenance request because my smoke alarms are beeping sporadically every few hours. It's especially disruptive at night. Unfortunately, trying to reach someone for help has been frustrating. The office is often unstaffed when I stop by, and it seems like only one person is working—if anyone at all. On one occasion, someone advised that they were working from home. How is an apartment office managed remotely?
When I called today, I was transferred to three different people. None of them could assist me, and all suggested I contact property management. I’ve already emailed property management and submitted my request via the portal with no response. At the very least, an acknowledgment of my request would be appreciated.
I also asked for a workaround—could I remove the batteries to stop the chirping if no one could come today? The person on the line didn’t know. When I asked if she could find out and call me back, she said she couldn't and told me to stop by the office if I don’t hear back. I can't do that—I work during office hours. I’ve tried visiting during my lunch break before, only to find no one there. I recently renewed my lease, and honestly, I’m starting to regret it.
I will say, everyone that I speak with is friendly. That's the only good thing I say. 😢
11 Month Update-
It took awhile but the team has finally cleaned up the breezeways! It is a huge improvement and they've even painted the second level breezeways in my building. I'm not sure if they've cleaned/painted other floors in other buildings but I'm truly appreciative that this has been done. It looks 100% better!
8 Month Update-
After 8 months living here at The Mark, I'm still pleased and pleasantly surprised by the courteous office admin staff and maintenance team members. I've removed one star only because of the breezeway areas in my building. The breezeway concrete is very stained/dirty and the stairs have the same cobwebs and dust accumulating as they did when I moved in. These areas don't match the main grounds which always appear to be kept clean and tidy. I've spoken with management and I do believe they'll get around to it but it hasn't happened yet.
Other than this, know that it still an apartment. I'm sure The Mark isn't unique in that the apartments could definitely be better insulated better between floors. I don't have a HUGE issue with this but if your neighbors above you walk heavy and allow (what I assume to be children) run inside and bounce balls, you will definitely hear it.
Original Review-
It's been many years since I've lived in an apartment and I am so very happy that I found The Mark on Solon. The property is typically very well maintained and the service staff and management teams are both very accommodating and quick to respond to concerns. I'd have a few minor complaints but those are mostly in regards to apartment living and the staff more than makes up for those small inconveniences, in my opinion. If you're on the fence about this complex, take the leap. You'll be pleasantly surprised! (S. Phillips)

We lived here for two years and loved it. The property is very nice and well kept. Yolanda and Stephanie in the leasing office were always very communicative and assisted us in anytime of need. Bertha and Simon were amazing maintenance workers who responded quickly and with a smile. The staff & the property will make you feel right at home. We will definitely miss the Mark on Solon and recommend this place to anyone looking for a home in Waxahachie.
