If your child is autistic, and federally protected, don't expect any sort of accommodations. They didn't want to pay the water bill on their broken toilet, but a few weeks ago, they were having the second attempt at finding the problem (maintenance truly is amazing and patient, it's not on them!) by putting dye into the tank to check for overnight seepage. Water was cut to the toilet, and tape over the bowl. The new apartment manager--the second during this toilet issue of 3 months--called before 9am, when maintenance and I had already said later. I let her know that my son was autistic and had a rough night. He had just fallen asleep & I was exhausted. She immediately said, "It happens." I said, "More than you realize. We need to have them come in later." She INSISTED. I got up. Waited 20 minutes, and was livid to have to walk to the office, only to see her on her cell phone. I finally had to find maintenance myself to ask to delay.
Every day that I wait to have a written refusal to cover their broken toilet, every day that she is "not in the office, working at another property," I will add to this review, because I have a hard time believing that the OWNERS that everyone speaks so highly of, knows a thing about what this woman is doing. Please just let me go back to griping about the parking lot & the fact that I RENTED THIS PROPERTY WITHOUT SEEING IT IN PERSON, AND THE AD HAD A GYM AND OTHER ITEMS NOT AT THE PROPERTY. I pay EXTRA to go month to month so I don't have to commit to this BS, and still, getting screwed and having to be petty and write nasty reviews??
Full review, with photos/texts/emails... RECEIPTS! will be added to this review as soon as I am provided with the actual meter readings... and then, pushing this review so that no one else is ripped off.
When management told me moving out was "my choice," they thought it was the end of the conversation. For me, it was the beginning of this review.
My choice is to no longer pay $600+ water bills caused by a toilet they couldn't be bothered to properly fix.
My choice is to no longer deal with a new apartment manager every three months (seriously, what's going on here?).
My choice is to not be gaslit into paying for their property's failures. When the OWNERS decided "they are standing firm" on the offer to split only the $600+ water bill, I stood firm on my decision to leave.
They were right about one thing: it is my choice. And I choose to make sure the next person who sees this listing knows exactly what they're getting into. I hope the owners enjoy the choice I've made for them: an empty apartment and all the costs that come with it.
***Scroll down & you will see that water bills & running toilets are what you are in for at this boutique. Other reviews are from BEFORE the property even opened, "looks like it's going to be beautiful!," and any mention of "Lauren or Maddie" is accurate, but unfortunately, they were lost in the sea of leasing manager overturn. We are on #4, if you don't count the brief stint when the owners had to jump in and steer the ship. So... maybe the owners will see this before I gather up all of the "proof," and we'll all get to just go back to complaining about the parking lot.***
