Awful management. We have not had a working oven or microwave in over four months, despite being told at the beginning of the issue that it would be solved within two weeks. There has been a dirt pile the size of a truck outside of our apartment unit for over two months which they told us a month ago would be gone by the end of the week. The AC does not work, don’t even bother unless you’d like to pay $600 a month for a frosty 80 degrees in your unit. Management does a fantastic job listening with never any follow through. It seems like they listen to make you feel heard, and then hope you forget about your issues. Maintenance problems go unchecked for weeks on end, which is clearly not the fault of the maintenance team as they are understaffed and underfunded. The gate to the property breaks about once every three weeks, so if you think you’re moving to a gated community, think again. If you call the office and press the button for “current and valued residents” they will never answer, but if you call the “new lease” line, they answer immediately. Overall, these apartment are not worth your money or your time. If you are choosing this place because you think the square footage is a deal for the price, reconsider. Extra space is not worth dealing with the poor management team and incredibly high electric bills.

I walked in today looking for an apartment. I was greeted quickly by Claudia and she was so kind and informative. She answered all of my questions and showed me two apartments. She was very thorough and even told me the history of the location. Really interesting because I have always driven past this place but didn’t know it was originally a tire shop from way back. The apartments are cute and have a lot of character. I will definitely be applying soon

My fiancé and I have lived at Firestone Apartments for nearly two years, and unfortunately, our experience has been overwhelmingly negative due to persistent maintenance issues and poor management response.
From day one, we encountered serious problems. When we first moved in, our refrigerator had a foul odor strong enough to attract gnats, making it unusable for weeks until management finally resolved it. Soon after, our dryer stopped working. Rather than fixing or replacing it promptly, we were told to use a dryer in a vacant unit nearby — a unit that was infested with bugs and had moldy food left out. Only after I refused to use such an unsanitary space did they finally replace our dryer.
The worst issue by far has been the air conditioning. We have not had a working AC system for most of the past 12 months — including the last 6 months straight. Excuses ranged from parts being on backorder due to “winter,” to it simply not being a priority. When we raised concerns with upper management, we were told that “a lot of other people don't have working AC either” and that it’s not urgent during the winter months — even though temperatures were in the mid-70s around Christmas.
Although our unit is listed as having central air and we pay full rent every month, we've had to rely on a small window unit provided by the office. This unit only fits in the dining room window and barely cools that space, making it impossible to comfortably sleep in our bedroom most nights. As a result, we’ve spent many nights sleeping on the couch, which has negatively affected our body. We have called once every 2 weeks in December, to once a week in February to once or twice a day in March and April to where we have given up and decided to not renew our lease. We move out in 2 weeks and can you guess what we still don’t have in this high 80 degree weather??? AC. Have they reimbursed us? No. Are we still having to pay FULL rent for the months we haven’t had AC. Yes. If you value comfortability, this is not the apartment for you.
The gym is another major disappointment. Despite management’s claim that it is cleaned daily, this clearly isn’t the case. The same sweat marks have remained on the TV screens for over two years, and a broken medicine ball left sand on the rack that has yet to be cleaned up — a year later. Most concerning is the lack of sanitary wipes or cleaning supplies to wipe down gym equipment, which poses a hygiene risk. At one point, someone even left a roll of toilet paper in place of wipes as a last resort.
We paid a bit more for a one bedroom expecting a luxury experience — after all, the building literally said “Luxury Apartments” on the side of the building. After a year later, “Luxury” was quietly removed, and now it just says “Apartments”. When we asked management why, they just shrugged and acted like they didn’t notice. No explanation. The downgrade in branding reflects the reality.
While Firestone Apartments might appear appealing from the outside, the lack of basic maintenance, unreliable air conditioning, and unsanitary shared spaces make it incredibly difficult to recommend. We have been very patient and even understanding that things happen but this has gone too far. If you value responsive management, working appliances, and clean amenities, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Hi I just moved in a few weeks ago from Boston. At first it was a slow application process which was a bit frustrating for me moving from out of state I needed to plan my drive and movers accordingly. Fortunately once I was able to communicate my concern things moved quickly and seamlessly (thank you John). I thought this would reflect my living situation however I’m happy to say everything has been very nice. Little maintenance issues such as my windows being hard to open or the carbon monoxide detector needing new batteries. I’m extremely pleased to say their response has been rapid. So rapid I submitted a request left to the store and when I came back it was already fixed. I’m very happy with my apartment. To the maintenance workers I’m sorry I forgot your names but you’re doing FANTASTIC!
