PLEASE READ THIS WARNING BEFORE YOU MOVE HERE !! Evaline Apartments is not the worst place to live, but it is definitely not the best. There are many many issues with these apartments that they have not fixed. They only cover up. The floor plans of this apartment is very spacious and roomie which I liked very much. However, there are many deep flaws. the units have many issues with insulation, causing the AC / heat to not work properly during the day and night during winter and or summertime. The electricity bill is extremely high because of this issue & when alerting the office they act like they don’t know what you’re talking about or they try to “fix the AC” when the AC isn’t the issue and they know that it’s the insulation . When first moving in during the heat of August I called the office many times complaining that the insulation in the apartment is causing the AC not to work. I was told by the front office leading agent that the apartments are really old and that there’s nothing they can really do and to put curtains up. The windows and doors are not properly sealed causing water to leak in when raining . They have renovated units, but the doors and windows are very old you can tell, which also causes the ac/heat issues.The ventilation system is not great. You can smell whatever your neighbor is smoking or cooking and causes your apartment to smell the same . The maintenance workers are helpful & friendly however, they do not speak good English and it is hard to communicate with them. I didn’t have a bug problem, but I am a clean person! I did see in total three roaches the entire time I’ve lived here in my unit. I took it upon myself to spray regularly even though pest control is included the front office never sent anyone regularly to spray my unit. The gym is not well kept & sometimes it is not clean and the mirror in the gym has been cracked for over six months. I didn’t have many issues finding parking at night and I felt like the parking lots are somewhat safe (not well painted though) . Also the front gates never are closed I think the entire year I lived here they worked for 1 full month and after that it never worked and stays open constantly. Overall, like I said, this is not the worst place to live, my number 1 issue was the AC/heat problem it truly made it uncomfortable at times to be in the apartment . So just be aware that these apartments are really old they have only done work cosmetically and also this isn’t an English speaking community.
