Worst living experience ever.
It took them months just to process my application. They denied me on behalf of an employee telling me to add more income to my app. The SECOND app was finally approved, they gave me only two weeks to move in or “start the process over.” Once I moved in, things went downhill fast.
I had a neighbor above me who allowed her child to run, stomp, and make noise at all hours of the day and night. When I complained to the office, they told me to call the police. As a mother, full-time student, and employee, the last thing I wanted was constant noise and conflict. I even spoke to my neighbor politely the first time, but it kept happening.
The police were called NINE times in four months because of the noise. I was told by police that “they get calls like this all the time” at The Emli which says a lot about how poorly they manage their property.
At one point the tension got so bad, my neighbor made a false police report about me (I live under her and was asleep at the time), and the office still did nothing to mediate or support me.
Then they assigned parking spots, but the first time I parked in my assigned spot, my car was towed. When I went to the office about it, Jackie (or whatever her name is) was extremely rude and blamed me for their mistake. They assigned me and another resident THE SAME PARKING SPOT! Only after escalating the issue and demanding to speak with Kimberly did they admit it was their fault and help get my car released.
The property itself is poorly maintained dirty breezeways, unsupervised kids running wild, and within a few months my apartment became infested with roaches, even in the refrigerator, despite me being very clean and tidy.
After six miserable months, I packed up my kids and left. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone even as low-income housing it fails to meet basic standards of decency, cleanliness, and professionalism.

We've been living here for a while now, and whenever we submit a maintenance request, they respond quickly. The sink did collapse at one point, but they fixed it right away. There are a few issues, like the freezer; we don't use the ice maker because it causes the freezer to stop working, which could lead to us losing all our frozen food. Aside from that, most of the other issues are pretty typical. As for the noise from children, we actually consider it a positive thing—it means they're outside playing and not cooped up indoors with electronics. We live on the second floor, so we don't deal with many bugs, though we also make sure to spray around our front door and on the balcony.
My only concern is the gym hours—they’re only open during business hours. I have a 3-year-old, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to use the equipment peacefully with him around.
There hasn't been that much dog feces since they hired the third maintenance guy.
Overall, we like living here. It is not forever, but it's home.

Pros: Very nice looking apartment complex.
Cons: The children are very loud every day I’m hearing loud profanity at the bus stop also through out the complex to where I can’t even talk on the phone in my own home or have any guest over. There have been many occasions that neighbors and I myself have address and told the children to watch there language and stop the screaming on top of that dealing with the trash in the breeze way that the children leave all over the place on the weekends I can’t even walk the breeze way without stepping on food or tripping over toys I don’t believe it’s fair to have the maintenance men picking up every day after kids that know better just to have the kids do it again. Other then that the place is beautiful but I do believe they do need to get a hold of the loud disturbance and the vandalism that the children are causing I can see that being a issue with people deciding if they would like to stay.

Jacquie, Marcella, and Office Manager Kim have been very professional, caring, and kind from my first phone call, during the application process, which went very quickly thanks to them, and my move into EMLI at Pecan Creek. So far, I am very pleased with my new home here. I had a small problem with the shower drain and it was fixed within the day. My apartment is spacious and quiet even though I am on the first floor as I requested. They are still doing some construction here, so curb appeal isn't that great from the main road, but don't let that stop you from considering this as your new home.

I completed my application in Jan 2024 and it's Mar 2024. This very pathetic. The office manager and assistant will tell you that there's no waiting list but indeed there is. I have never applied for an apartment and it takes almost 2 months to get approved. During this process, my application has been sitting in their office and never sent out. The office staff never calls with an update. Each week the applicant has to call for an update. Per each call you are given a bogus reason about the application process and telling you that your application has to be sent off to compliance. As a result of the extended wait, my son and I are homeless. I spend countless money on hotel fees hoping each week that they will call. However, they advertise immediate move in. I was told by one of the office staff that people are living in their cars waiting to be approved. Very sad and pathetic. For every review prior to mine saying that the process was quick, easy, and they move in right away is a lie or the office staff is discriminating. This property needs to be investigated as to why the process is very lengthy but they tell you there's no waiting list???
