I toured with Anthony today and literally felt the most comfortable I’ve ever felt touring the building. He was super attentive to what my needs were and even really what my actual wants were! Didn’t pressure me into anything and let me decide what i did and didn’t like with no offense taken.

Let’s start off with the fees that add to your base rent, for example , mine is 1,400. First fee, parking 100$. This gets you into the garage not an assigned spot, and let’s say you have your parents overnight from out of state, this doesn’t cover them. I had a family member towed recently because we didn’t see the one sign in the front that says they can only park 8am-5pm. When I stopped in the office they said my guests can park in the street 6pm-6am, after that , they can get towed. I’ve lived in the city my whole life , I’ve never had a place not let guests park where the resident park, I would understand having to need a pass or something but that’s not an a option. So just know if you have family or friends over , there car will get towed if it’s in the garage passed 5 cause I’ve had it happen. So with that good for nothing parking fee , your rent is now 1,500. Next fee would be power, and make sure you don’t take a breath moving in and get on that cause they will charge you a 150$ fee if it happens to slip your mind and it’s not done day 1 in the middle of moving in your stuff with no freight elevator. There elevators are terrible here , when they run. My 2nd week here I made the mistake of getting in one making weird noises and it dropped me from the 12th floor to the 6th. Kind of scary. So after you make it up to your place and make the power call , with Texas weather add another 150-200$ to your rent . Now your at around 1,650 at the minimum. Need to cool off at this point? You can’t , according to the emails they send out on the regular , the A/C units our down and the pool is being cleaned. When will both of them be in service again? Meh this last time it was a week later . So now your stuck inside, and this isn’t a complaint , I’m just being transparent but WiFi is40$ minimum , now your at 1,690$. Next complaint is the smell . It smells so bad by the elevators and there always sooo many roaches. If there’s any fee I’d pay for it’s decent pest control , which can’t be quality because that fee is somehow only 2.23$ and the trash even tho it’s always overflowing is 10$. So starting with your base rent of 1,400 your now at 1,702$. Next is just the general look of the unit. They have old appliances in most units, I have friends on the element side that pay more base rent cause supposedly there renovated . Coming from a maintenance tech myself, they don’t renovate anything here from what I’ve seen, they just clean very well and throw in a bug bomb. Do not fall for the renovation steel appliances scam they got going on. If you have a steel appliance I guarantee you your floor is old and so is your cupboards. That is not renovated, they just took an oven and or fridge out that didn’t work and raised the rent. Further more , don’t also be fool by the amenities listed for each building. The Wilson’s game room is 100 degrees no ac, the continental it’s all locked up , I’m assuming cause they look at affordable housing tenants different cause it looks really nice in there , also there is no spa. That does not exist , all the doors are locked and nothings running , ever. On the Merc side the balcony is nice, but there’s no furniture . What are we even paying for? The reason I made this review is so that maybe there can be a little transparency for people moving out of state to Dallas , do not move here if you want cheap rent and def do not move here if you want piece of mind . Ontop of feeling like your getting ripped off , the office staff our fake and rude, I’m not a violent person , but damn I be wanting to fight them. They are so quick to bring up fair housing , it’s obvious they don’t like and don’t want to do there jobs, so asking Brookfield directly now, what’s fair about that? There is definitely some stereotyping and classism going on here. I have to conclude this complain cause it’s over on characters, you will not save money here or find piece of mind, just an FYI.

The curse on this place continues and continues and will continue. I have been without air conditioning in the entire apartment for over a month, which the administration does not care about. Mr. Isaiah, who used to be the package receiver, turns out to be the manager who gives me terrible service for my problem with the air conditioning in my apartment. I have been trying to contact Mrs. Vasti for a month and she does not answer my messages. Her breach of contract in this unit is the best they do. I do not advise you to move to this place, it is terrible, the elevators never work, the maintenance team is fatal, the dirtiness of the building is brilliant, pest control does not work, I have cockroaches, I do not understand where the investment in this building is going.
I'm not going to stop until the media finds out.

I've been living in this building for two years, and the management is terrible. I've been without air conditioning for a month, and they haven't done anything, and they don't want to terminate my contract. Don't move to this place because it has nothing useful. The elevators never work, the parking lot is full of water and sewage, and they don't clean it. A disgusting place. I don't recommend it, don't live here. The cheap apartments and everything are a facade to make you live here.
