The unit was exactly as described and the property is so nicely laid out and well kept. Couldn’t have asked for more moving here sight unseen from out of state. She and everyone worked with me the best way they could even when I was out of town taking care of my mother. Ashley was there to help! Disappointing Experience After Nearly Three Years
I was once content living in this community and had even been considering signing my third lease. Unfortunately, my experience over the past year completely changed that.
While the complex has a nice appearance, it’s quite old. When there’s heavy rain or ice, the window seals leak and collect water, which has led to wood rot. I also experienced a severe gnat infestation and had to wait through the weekend before pest control could treat it. These maintenance issues became frequent, but what made everything worse was how the property management handled them—especially the property manager, Rachelle.
Rachelle consistently demonstrated poor communication, lack of empathy, and little follow-through when residents raised concerns. My most frustrating issue was when my patio window shattered while I was away at work. Instead of offering help, the first question she asked was, “Did you have a party?”—a comment that felt accusatory and unprofessional. For the record, I work 13-hour shifts, four days a week, and have never received a single complaint from neighbors or staff about being disruptive.
I tried to negotiate a shared cost since there was no proof of how the damage occurred. However, no resolution was reached. A contractor was sent to inspect the damage while I was at work, and I was never given the opportunity to speak with them directly. All I received was a photo forwarded to me via email. I asked Rachelle if she could escalate the issue to her regional manager, but she never CC’d me on any emails or connected me directly to anyone. Ultimately, I was charged nearly $2,000 for a window I did not break.
Another frustrating incident involved a request to repaint my bathroom doors, which were visibly peeling after over two years of normal wear and tear. Rather than scheduling maintenance, Rachelle told me to bring a cup to the office so they could give me paint to do it myself. When I followed up, she acted confused—even though we had already discussed it. Eventually, maintenance did come and completed the job, but only after unnecessary delays.
For the amount I paid—over $2,000 a month—I expected basic respect and professionalism, which I did not receive. This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a property manager.
I hope this review encourages the company to take a closer look at how residents are treated. If you want diversity in your community, you must treat everyone with fairness, dignity, and consistent care.

I have lived in Creekside for almost three years. I really like this community and all the staff, especially Penny. She helped me a lot since I moved in. I also want to thank the manager Rachelle Lebrilla, who was still very nice and helped me with the relevant procedures when I was ready to move out. If I return to Plano, I will choose this apartment again.
