I’m coming up on my second anniversary of moving in here and I can honestly say I’ve never been happier in an apartment complex. The location is great, stuck in the middle of a quiet neighborhood, and the community is friendly and respectful. The covered parking spots are wonderful for the occasional hail storm or destructive weather, too. Most importantly, the front office staff and maintenance staff are truly second to none. They are extremely communicative whenever there’s an issue or something going on in the complex and what they’re doing to have it resolved. Any maintenance request I’ve made has been handled in a very timely manner.
I moved here very quickly from out of state, with very little time to research or plan, I’ve since told everyone I know that it ended up working out perfectly. I don’t think there’s a better location in town. Just off 380, 5 minutes and one road from down town, quick access to the loop or interstate, so it’s easy to get anywhere you need.
It’s worth noting that this is an older complex, so it has its quirks and may not be the sleek and sexy minimalist style of newer places, but it makes up for it with charm and character.

My husband and I lived here in a 2 bedroom unit for about a year and a half. While the units are a bit older- I loved that. Lots of character and it was beautifully maintained and clean. The pool was always open and ready to go so with our toddler at the time we utilized the heck out of that! Management was so nice!!
We loved our time here and talk about our cozy apartment often!

I have a covered parking spot close to my unit, working appliances, no infestations of any kind.
I stay to myself and my neighbors seem to do the same, no noise complaints.
People in the office are quick to answer.
I will definitely consider renewing once my lease is over.

Our only real issue with the property is that we had numerous water shutoffs in our building during our time here, both hot water and full water shutoffs. The water shutoffs increased a lot over the past several months we were there, and we sometimes had multiple shutoffs within the same week. They often give residents a heads up, but there were still times when we went to use the water and unexpectedly found it was turned off. If you live here, you should always have several gallons of water on hand,.
One reason for all the water shutoffs is that there have been many, many repairs to the hot water heater for our building. But to my knowledge, they haven't actually replaced the hot water heater. Once when the hot water was out for a few days in the winter, management gave residents the option of using a shower in a vacant unit with working hot water.
The management has always been professional and friendly, and they go above and beyond. For example, I'm a remote worker, and once when our internet was out, they let me connect to the office Wi-Fi so I could still get my work done. I've always enjoyed my interactions with JJ and Amber. It was always a pleasure to interact with them, and I always felt like they truly listened and did their best to resolve any concerns we had.
Parking is pretty good at Coronado North. You get one covered parking spot that's yours alone, and there are additional uncovered spaces for additional vehicles. Guests are supposed to register in the parking app to avoid getting towed if they park on the property, but we always just had them park on the street, and there weren't any problems.
The pool is also very nice, and it was renovated a few years ago. There were a number of times last summer (2023) when the pool was closed due to algae issues because the maintenance staff did not keep up with regular cleaning. However, it seems like those issues have since been resolved because I haven't seen it closed for a while now. It's open year round, so you can still sit outside or even go for a swim any time of the year, which is REALLY nice in Texas. I also like that you're allowed up to two guests per lease signer, as many places only allow two guests per unit.
I like that this complex is very flexible about how you decorate your unit to make it feel like home. They told us it was fine to use however many thumbtacks and nails in the walls we needed, as long as the hole was smaller than a pencil eraser. We were able to hang pictures, curtains, lights, and other decorations on the inside. On the outside, I kept my bike, outdoor chairs, and some potted plants, but plenty of people stored a lot more, and some people on the first floor even have little gardens in the ground in front of their units. It gives the units more personality.
This is an older complex, but if you don't mind that, it's a nice place to live. If I was ever looking for a one or two bedroom apartment in Denton, I would definitely consider Coronado North again.

This place is an overpriced, outdated, slum. It is not well maintained & the property management ignores major issues. The only thing they care about is collecting the ridiculously expensive rent. You can expect high utility bills, moldy bathrooms, uneven flooring and the cheapest of appliances and fixtures. The apartments are not property cleaned prior to move-in. The broken down A/C units look like they are from the 90's. The inefficient windows cause drafts, excaped cooled air and high electric bills. I am absolutely furious with how my college kids have been treated. My son had to go through the heat of summer with only a cheap, $100 A/C window unit provided by management that struggled to cool his one bedroom apartment that faced the west sun. His electric bills were skyhigh while management ignored his maintenance requests! They did not compensate him for the added electricity costs either. He should not have had to pay out of his pocket for their neglect. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, causing mold issues. Unless you relentlessly bother the management, they won't fix anything as they should for what they charge! I am completely disgusted with how these place exploits college kids who struggle to manage school and on fixed incomes! SLUM LORDS!!!
