I lived here for 3 years and loved it. I am so sad that we left but I enjoyed my time here. My old senior dog got to live out his last years here being loved on by the staff. Celeste will always hold a special place in my heart for how they treated my dog.
Moving here was my first time in San Antonio and it was a great intro to a new city I was not familiar with.
Maintenance was top notch. I had my AC break down one time on a Sunday and Albert was there 40 mins later.
No apartment is going to be perfect and any time there were issues they always worked with us to resolve it. The leasing office team was always helpful and friendly.
Thank you for a wonderful 3 years!

Let me start by saying that if you are thinking of moving into Celeste at La Cantera.....just DON'T! Long term residents here and we are moving out! This property used to be a premium, upscale facility. Unfortunately, the "management" here has really taken a toll on the property. The Property "manager" is not available to residents. Simply will not respond to emails and will not take phone calls. If you do happen to see her in the lobby she will immediately disappear to the back. You can talk to one of the wonderful young female hosts and they will relay any info to the manager where it is seemingly discarded. But, the worst part is that when things get broken, burned out, damaged, etc it simply stays that way! There is no sense of urgency & seemingly no desire to maintain anything to a standard. Perimeter lighting was out for months after a pole was hit last year. After enough residents complained an electrician was called to at least turn on the lights. The pole? Still missing with bare wiring coming from the concrete base. Amenities? Forget it! AC systems are out often, Televisions have never worked, pool heater was off most of the winter. Landscape lighting goes out....it stays out. Other landscaping that used to be done pretty often is non-existent now. And, when you do notice something that needs attention you can fill out a form online so it will be fixed. More often than not the problem is cleared but no action has been taken. Recently a vehicle ran into the glass entry from the parking garage to the 2nd floor & elevator. The glass and framework was destroyed. Easy & quick fix for a glass company but, instead it was simply boarded up and left. That has been 2 or 3 months now! Crime in the area is rampant. Cars are burglarized quite often, on the street and even in the parking garage under lights and security cameras. No help & no apologies. On a good note the cleaning ladies do a great job of keeping common areas, hallways, carpets etc. clean and fresh. Celeste is in a great location for shopping & dining! It just needs much more effective management.

Lived here for 13+ months, used to be a wonderful environment with a five-start staff and resident-first mentality. Recently introduced policy changes with the excuse of "high capacity" have proven that this is no longer a resident-first property. A property as beautiful [and expensive] as this one should really look into their policies and make sure that it reflects a culture that is there to serve and help it's residents; it's a real shame. Just because you're near capacity isn't good reason to change resident facing policies. Also, emergency answering service did practically nothing I called about our rooftop pool flooding into the garage and storage units, trash was left outside my unit upon move in, and there's water damage on my closet wall. I still live here, so I will update my review when resident-facing policies improve.

We've lived at Celeste for almost a year. We sold our house during the boom and weren't sure what we were going to think about renting. We have been EXTREMELY HAPPY with our decision! This is truly a luxury, upscale complex. The amenities are top notch, with a beautiful roof top pool, entertainment area and workout area. Last month they cleaned the pool area from top to bottom and replaced cushions and decor.
We've never heard of anyone breaking in or stealing cars or packages and we've never experienced that. One of the main reasons we chose this complex is for the parking garage. We have high end cars and love them to be garaged. Never any issue. But they have installed parking garage cameras recently, along with cameras in and around the complex.
We are constantly commenting on how well the groundskeepers keep everything maintained. They have a convenient online trouble ticket system and we've used it a couple times. They have always been responsive. The complex cleaning lady is amazing! She's constantly cleaning the halls, elevators, trash room, entrances, from the floors to wiping down the window sills...It always smells so fresh! Yesterday she was cleaning the step plate of the elevator! Just above and beyond for the maintenance guys and cleaning lady.
Our condo is fantastic and we've never heard anyone on either side of us. There is a little noise when people walk in the condo above us, but that's to be expected. The walls are so thick that we can't hear the fireworks at Fiesta TX or the music at The Rock (outdoor event space around the corner).
The management/office staff are incredible. They've listened and addressed our concerns or questions every single time...and very patiently. Special shout out to Liz and her fun, infectious laugh! The lobby has a nice hangout area with complimentary Starbucks drink machine. And they have grab n go breakfast items during the week, bring in yummy food trucks and host occasional brunches and parties.
The entire area, including the park in between us and The Residences, is so walkable. We feel super safe and there are always people out walking the dogs or sitting in the park. We commented at Christmas that it looks like a Hallmark movie :)
We don't have any intention of leaving any time soon!

I’ve lived in 6 different apartments in the last 12 years. Celeste at La Cantera is the only one I bothered to write a review for. That’s how great the management and maintenance teams are.
When I moved in there were no maps, and you could get lost in the hallways. So, they added maps! There were no security cameras. So they added security cameras! There was no way to let visitors in, so they added an app for guest access!
This is really a great team. They listen to residents and try really hard to make living here as pleasant as possible.
