We’ve been looking for an apartment for awhile. When I came into the Carson to tour it Phoenix is the one who sat down and went over everything with me. She is a wonderful person and was so easy to talk to. She was very friendly and made looking for the perfect fit a breeze. We will be applying and looking forward to enjoying our new adventures there.

Decent start, but maintenance is falling short
We’ve been here for a few weeks and like the community and apartment features, but one of our appliances isn’t working—10+ days since the request, multiple calls, in person checks at the leasing office, and still no visit. Reviews mention “maintenance is very slow… days for a 5‑minute repair” , and that matches our experience so far. We hope the team prioritizes essential repairs soon.

I recently applied for an apartment online and was promptly notified via email that the unit I wanted was not available for that timeline. I advised the agent that I would not like to continue with the application and would like a refund.. The agent then assured me they’d “get back to me and give him till noon that day.”
The following day, I visited the property and what I saw was nothing like the photos. The hallways were dark and unwelcoming; the exterior was cluttered with leaves and debris, clearly in need of a deep cleaning. I toured three available units and was told once again that my time line for the apartment was too far out and the chosen unit would not be available. The agent went on to say they couldn’t hold it longer than 30 days. But this directly contradicted what the previous agent had told me.
I informed the representative again that I did not wish to proceed with my application. Despite that, she continued to press me, trying to get me to say, I’d applied for a specific unit which I called her out on. Then she claimed they’d held the apartment for me...another false statement. When I confronted her, “How could you hold it if both you and the other agent said it wasn’t available?” she offered no real answer.
Bottom line: Be cautious dealing with these people. They lied repeatedly just to hold onto your application fee. If no application was process and no hits to my credit, what are you really charging 275 for? be honest. Don’t make excuses like “we can’t hold it past 30 days” or imply anything you can’t back up. What a disappointment

Be aware that this apartment complex consistently maintains an average rating around 4.1 — but every time a negative review is posted, a wave of generic 5-star reviews quickly follows to artificially boost the score. Meanwhile, the property management company holds an “F” rating — the lowest possible — with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). That should tell you something.
