I give 2 stars because it’s a new building and the dog park is great. I also give it 2 stars because: •our yard has little to no grass and what little I have has never been mowed. •if you have pets good luck getting maintenance to do anything for you. I can’t tell you how many times we put in requests for something and it just gets marked as ‘done’ when not a thing has been done. •the pet waste containers outside are almost always full so they’re not getting picked up enough. •also if you’re late on any payments, be ready to pay an arm and a leg..
Wanted to like this place initially but maaaan I’ve been disappointed with the service!

I should have known from the beginning that this place would be difficult to live in. The first red flag appeared two hours into my four-hour drive to sign the lease. I had already informed the office that I would be coming alone because my husband, a nurse, could not leave his patients. Halfway through my drive, they called and told me, “Our online portal doesn’t work — you’ll need your husband to sign in front of a notary and fax us the hundred-page lease.” This last-minute change cost us an additional $100, and my husband spent over an hour on the phone trying to explain why he could not leave work. In the end, we received the lease through the same online portal they said wasn’t working. That should have been my first warning sign.
Later, I inquired about transferring to a two-bedroom unit. I wanted to make sure I understood the process, so I called and spoke with the office several times and even visited in person. Each time, I asked specifically: “My lease doesn’t end until November — what would it cost to transfer?” Each time, I was told it would only require a $500 deposit. Based on that repeated information, I paid the $500 cashier’s check and signed the paperwork in front of witnesses. We even toured the unit with my parents and purchased new furniture. However, just before move-in, I was contacted and told the cost would actually be closer to $2,000. Although this was specified in the lease, I had asked multiple times beforehand and was repeatedly given incorrect information. This created unnecessary financial and emotional stress.
Pest control has also been a serious issue during my time here. For about a month now, I have been reporting active wasp nests under my staircase, along the fence, and I just saw one in the dog park under the water bowl. I am allergic to stings, so I cannot risk my health by trying to handle them myself — nor should I, since it’s not my property. Each time I reported it, I was told pest control would be out “Thursday,” but weeks went by with no action. The explanation the manager gave me was that “wasps are natural to the area.” While that may be true, so are ants and roaches, and since pest control is part of what I pay for, I expect these issues to be addressed. Meanwhile, wasps have flown into my apartment while bringing in groceries.
Other residents I’ve spoken to in the dog park have reported similar experiences with pest control and front staff. Some were told pest control had already entered their units, but they knew that wasn’t true because they either work from home or have cameras showing no one ever came in.
The apartments themselves also show signs of poor construction. Lightly bumping into a wall leaves scratches, and the flooring scuffs very easily. For rent well over $1,000 (with some units close to $2,000), I would expect higher-quality materials.
I have lived here for a year, and I am already eager to leave. I have even considered breaking my lease, but I want to ensure I can get my $1,200 deposit back first. I usually don’t write reviews, but after my experiences here, I felt it was important to share my thoughts. I hope this review helps someone else avoid the same stress and frustration.
This is my first time renting, and it has been a significant learning experience. Although the apartment appeared decent at first glance, I was naive enough not to check the corners of the staircase or the crevices of the carpet, where I discovered dozens of spiders that I ended up having to kill myself. At the time, I didn't realize that the unit should have been clean and pest-free before I moved in. Now I understand these are red flags to look out for, and I will never ignore them again. I've learned which types of apartments to avoid, and I hope others can benefit from my experience as well.
