The Paragon Apartments look beautiful at first glance, and the amenities are genuinely well-maintained. The staff has been friendly and professional, which I appreciate.
That said, there are a few things I wish I had known before signing a long lease. The community is full of dogs that bark frequently during the day when residents walk by, which has made it difficult to enjoy the pool and patio area. These episodes usually last 2–5 minutes and happen often enough to impact the overall sense of peace. It feels like many dogs here aren’t trained to ignore passersby, and some owners don’t seem concerned about being courteous neighbors.
All patio units that face the courtyard or pool can hear any other patio unit’s dog, and because the courtyard is a high-traffic area, the barking is frequent. Some dogs are left unattended on patios for hours, and these tend to bark the most. In other cases, residents sit outside with their dogs and allow them to bark freely, which feels inconsiderate to neighbors trying to relax or work.
Also, every unit is equipped with smart locks, and the lease includes a clause that allows management to enter without advance notice. While this may be standard in some places, I personally didn’t realize it at signing — and it’s made me feel uneasy at times.
Additionally, I’ve only just moved in and already have an ant infestation, which has been frustrating to deal with right away.
If you’re someone who values a quiet, private, and low-maintenance home environment, I’d recommend reading the lease carefully and visiting during the weekend or after work hours before making your decision. The property has a lot going for it visually, but for me, the environment hasn’t felt as restful or comfortable as I hoped.

Maintenance is good, quick & responsive & front office interactions have been good, seems to be more of a management issue. Multiple issues not addressed, however now imposing fines on residents.
