Updating my review to reflect my rating. I have never once expressed satisfaction, in fact it has been unpleasant. We had so many issues during our stay that did not get addressed properly so we decided very early on to not renew. One of the staff actually falsified our move-out form by stating our reason for moving out was cost. I left that blank just because I decided to save some people’s feelings and not write that poor management and maintenance staff is the reason for our non-renewal. Just one of the many instances of dishonesty. We were in the unit on top of Chuy’s which is actually nice if you can get past the poorly done renovations. Management was not ready for our move in at all. It was already a red flag when I went to pick up my keys and had to watch the staff search through each other's desks for them while the fire alarm in the building above Summer Moon went off for over 10 minutes. We did not get any sort of welcome paperwork, only the keys. I even had to ask for the move-in form. We had a lot of issues upon moving in, and while some got addressed, not all of them did. The biggest issue was not getting a carpet change and there was evidence of large brown and yellow stains. When I addressed this with Crystal, she only offered to get our carpet cleaned and said when they walked through the unit before we arrived, they saw no issues with carpet. Already poor judgement and decision-making on their part. During our lease, the fire alarm would randomly go off day and night for absolutely no reason and this would go on for months. Not only was this affecting our work and sleep, it was also inconsiderate to the firefighters’ time when they could be addressing real emergencies. We also had issues with the elevator randomly deciding to stop working and this has caused several of our neighbors to get stuck in the elevator, and this also went on for months. After that incident, the elevator door would take numerous tries before it finally would fully shut and move to the requested floor. We would be standing in there for several minutes watching the elevator door attempt to close, a task that should only take several seconds. I had put in numerous work orders to maintenance to get it fixed, just for them to keep closing it out without any resolution. This went on for weeks and didn’t get properly fixed until after I complained about it. During all this, not once did they send out any emails notifying residents of the issue and how they are going to resolve it, until they received a complaint. During the last few months of our lease, we had issues with a broken garage gate and odd water leaks in our hallway. They also violated our lease by charging us for the entire month of May, even though our lease only extends to May 1st , after we have already paid the prorated amount. I was also not able to get a hold of Megan or Crystal, not out of the norm by the way, to give us the prorated amount. Fortunately, Aleka was able to assist us and has been very pleasant to work with. After we moved out, Megan and Crystal falsely accused and charged us for creating holes in the walls to install some cord hiders. I will own up to the fact that I accused their staff for creating those holes, just because I know for a fact we did not create them. After providing evidence that the installations were already there when we moved in, not once did Megan apologize to us for the false accusation. I had also provided feedback to Megan and Crystal on how they should work on being better communicators, especially after what happened during our stay and while waiting for our refund checks, Megan called me rude and obnoxious and Crystal said feedback is not necessary to her. So I’m surprised by their comment on how important the resident's feedback is important to them. While they claim to conduct business with professionalism, honesty, and integrity, we never got to experience any of those behaviors. Instead we got people who are sensitive, defensive, and dismissive when issues and feedback are brought up.
