I will give you an honest opinion based upon which I strongly believe you can make an educated decision before you want to spend your life and join our community and live at La Ventura. I'll start with the Pros: First location - Not only it is located in a desired zip code but homes literally across the street are worth between $1-5 million, we have 4 grocery stores (Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Market Center and Walmart Groceries, while Kroger closed its doors perhaps because could not compete with good quality foods). Oh and Aldi is also not far away. In this area there is also a multitude of restaurants, retail, gyms, dine-in theater, Salons, pretty much everything you need. Schools - WOW - some of the best schools rated 8, 9 and 10. The elementary school 1-5 is literally across the street where your kids can walk by themselves to school and come home as well. Tell me you don't want your kid to start in life building a networking of friends who have chances to live in higher places than otherwise from a public school. Drive through mail house, a beautiful swimming pool with volley ball court, hoops court, workout gym and a most gorgeous, shaded and spacious patio/dining area with 3 barbecue grills (gas), running water fountain and plenty of seating. The staff is friendly, the maintenance tickets resolved quickly. The online portal works well to pay rent, submit tickets. Covered parking, Mediterranean style with Spanish red tile roof. There are a lot of pets "going out" areas. The grounds are well kept - oh - almost forgot we also have an automobile cleaning area with vacuum and washing capabilities which is free. There is plenty of parking near your door and the complex is family friendly which is best because let's face it - younger people do tend to live in newer completeness right next to restaurants and night life. The area does have bars, restaurants (a lots of them), banks, car cleaning, fast foods, children day care and good home values with lower crime. Before we moved in the area we set-out the criteria for living in an area where we liked everything - and also move into a home later on but staying in same area of town.. Well this place meets all points on our checklist. Even the potable water (yes I ran my PH tests and while I also do have a sink filter) the water is of good quality to start with. Cons: Well there are two and one is offset by price. The complex is not new - it is not very old, but compared to modern building standards nowadays the complex is older BUT that is offset by it's affordability and size since new apartments are 200 square feet smaller on average. My apartment is at least 20-40% lower price than a newly built complex. It is a truth which cannot be avoided but in all - I rather live here. And second is the noise from the Air Conditioner condensers which the building Architects and Engineers decided to make everyone suffer and install it right on their balconies and near the bedroom window. If you are like mine where the condenser is little dated it is louder and my neighbors bellow is even louder - once an older lady came to the door and complained that while she is walking the noise is way loud and we should complain to the front office. There is nothing we can do about it - but if I could change that it would be the biggest thing I would change. I am in my third year living here so I grew accustomed with that noise but that is the biggest con and frankly the only con worth mentioning in this complex. Not having a relaxing time sitting on the patio when weather is pleasant is a downer. I hope you check this place out and find this review helpful. Take care. August 2023 Update - I since moved into another Lincoln managed properties nearby and was helped with reduced fees. The reason I moved out was because my apartment was being remodeled and had no choice, however my opinion about La Ventura has not changed. The price was increased with the market since we are in inflation mode - but its still a great value.
