TLDR: Do not live here. There are leaks, water damage, mold, unsatisfactory move-in procedures, improper processing of rent payments that result in illegal late fees, and damaged homes that never get fully repaired. Pictures included, and most of the damages were never fully repaired. I have lived here for less than 2 months and I am terminating my lease. If you value your time, your money, and your security and safety, do not move into this community. At first glance, the amenities look nice, the apartments look well done, etc., but it is all a facade. I moved into this unit in late March, and immediately there was noticeable water damage throughout the unit, and many things were not even functional Including the microwave and the door to my outdoor storage, where the door handle was not even attached. As time went on, several leaks occurred in my unit, from the AC unit, water heater, and twice from my upstairs neighbors due to a “faulty connection.” Less than 3 weeks into my lease, I discovered mold in my unit from a leak in the AC, and my apartment became a never-ending construction project, with fans blowing in my unit for 2 weeks straight. Notably, there is an emergency shutoff sensor for the AC that is included so that the AC doesn’t leak water if there’s an issue. It wasn’t ever attached, and simply dangled free next to the AC unit, and I got water damage and mold because of this. At this point, I reached out to property management to simply terminate my lease, because these are not the conditions I agreed to live under. I was given the option to transfer to a new unit (why would I want to move units? I JUST moved in and I didn’t trust them to put me in a new unit after this horrible move-in, plus I have a senior dog with mobility issues and they could only move me to a non-first floor unit due to unit availability, so clearly transfer was not an option). The only other option I was given was to PAY to terminate my lease. They required me to stay an additional 30 days on the lease, pay rent, and pay $2269 in termination fees for a unit that was moldy, leaky, and water damaged. To this day, several issues still are not fixed, and what’s worse is that I had an exact repeat of the same leak from my upstairs neighbors like when I first moved in. As if the damages weren’t bad enough, I had to continue to pay rent here until the termination ended. I tried to pay through the online portal and had issues paying only the rent payment, as it wanted me to pay the termination fee as well and did not allow partial payments. I reached out to the assistant manager, per the property manager’s direct statement to reach out to the AM if I had any issues, and I never heard back from her. I ended up coming in with a cashier’s check, because I knew that I would get a late fee if the rent wasn’t paid. They accepted the cashier’s check, then applied the funds incorrectly to my account, and I was charged $175 in late fees for “not paying my rent,” that I literally brought in a cashier’s check to pay. I reached out to the AM by phone, and she told me she would take care of it and she did not! The following day, the late fee was STILL there, and the property manager had to remove the late fee. No one should have to live under these conditions and have to be subjected to weeks of repairs, bungled rent payment, negligent living conditions, and a dirty, moldy, damaged home. Do not live here.
