I have lived in this apartment for around a year and a half now, and I can confidently say that it has been a frustrating experience from the start. The carpeted hallways are filthy, constantly stained and often have dog feces left unattended -- so much that it once got on our welcome mat (which was later stolen, and management did absolutely nothing about it). Communication is practically nonexistent. The office never answers the phone, and when I visited in person to ask about their package system, the office manager was dismissive and unhelpful. It's clear the resident concerns are not a priority. Security is a joke. There was an incident where kids were banging on residents' doors, and when I reported it, the front desk staff seemed clueless and offered no assistance. I was told to call the police myself, despite it being a situation the complex should've handled directly. Maintenance is unreliable and lacks basic respect. They often show up without understanding the issue. If I'm not physically there to walk them through it, the job doesn't get done. I've had to remind them about the exact problems noted in the work orders they are given. On top of that, I specifically asked -- in filling out the work order -- for them to wait at the door until I could answer, because I breastfeed and didn't want a man walking in while I was exposed. Despite that, there was a time when maintenance just entered my unit without waiting. That was a clear violation of my privacy and comfort. The package system is overly complicated and poorly managed. It involves a third-party service that has delivered to the wrong door before, prompting management to send out a mass email asking if anyone took someone else's package. Something that is so inconvenient. Lastly -- and most disturbingly -- there's a clear lack of professionalism and boundaries. A maintenance worker once approached me and my partner to ask whether we were married, saying that "everyone in the office was wondering." That level of nosiness and gossip is completely inappropriate. To be fair, the area itself is beautiful -- it's a nice area to live in terms of location. But unfortunately, the management and overall experience inside the complex doesn't reflect that at all. If the issues I mentioned don't bother you, then so be it-- but I wish I had known these things before signing a lease.
