Living here is great. This place is a true loft apartment not just concrete and brick, it has the windows too. The neighbors are great and friendly, except for some people who never open their shades, they’re weird. Like you get this place for the windows you can find brick and concrete anywhere. But 98% of everyone is cool. There’s around 100 units so you actually know your neighbors compared to other apartments with hundreds. Parking is never an issue. The maintenance guy is the nicest person on earth, he’s great. Only giving four stars since the management is very corporate. The office staff is great, but they don’t have control over prices, and there are no exceptions, even if you want to sign a lease longer than 15 months. Like I’m asking to spend more money, what’s the problem?!They don’t have enough discretion per se. The westdale corporate office is literally down the street.

My unit is very nice but the place has some problems considering it’s very old & it makes my allergies horrible.. I’m sure it’s mold in the wall . My bathroom upstairs pours into my tub downstairs .. I’m sure there is water in my walls .. crackheads everywhere.. they even have a mattress behind our dumpster with a bed sheet on it.. there has also been lots of construction for the past 2 months.. all the construction workers park along side of Henry where mostly guest park and mail carriers such as ups, Amazon us mail , dhl., ; there is nowhere for them to even park due to the construction workers not wanting to pay for parking. Mind you there working on something across the street.. and they occupy the street 12 HOURS A DAY … It’s exhausting. I enjoy the night life but I’m ready to move somewhere safe. 😥 I should’ve know when they said the building was over a 100 years old. Rent is around 2400 for my unit 😥

I had a great experience at Adam hats! Location is great if you want to experience the night life. Industrial styled apartments with modern appliances. I would definitely recommend. A lot of the tenants are long term residents so there’s definitely a sense of community. The only suggestions I have is regarding the newly added trash valet services. Since it was implemented, the trash bags out in the hall are an eye swore and the valet service is way too picky with what they pick up. There were several times they’ve left a note at my door stating my trash wasn’t eligible for pick up because it was too heavy? The trash bag fit in the provided can so I was puzzled and needless to say I started throwing it out on my own. I felt the trash chute was more convenient.

Used a peerspace rental from 10-3p. Decent atmosphere. Parking was reasonable as well.

It's fine; management isn't super communicative and things seem to change arbitrarily. Examples: We used to have a trash room but now we are FORCED to pay $15/month for valet trash service that doesn't even come daily; they've also put locks on the trash room so we can't even take out our own trash. I've also had multiple strangers come up and try my door to see if it's unlocked; this suggests to me that the outside door locks aren't super secure. The parking lot gate regularly doesn't work. Good luck trying to pull out of the parking lot safely on a weekend when parked cars regularly block the line of sight from the driveway.
Bottom line, it's just way too expensive for what it offers.
I've now been moved out for long enough without my security deposit returned that I would like to append some more details here. The building ALWAYS smells like weed. At least one unit in the building hosts a weekly poker game where people sell drugs in the parking lot. Our pool is across the neighborhood at a different building and shared with the other Deep Ellum Lofts; now it isn't even open.
My next door neighbor literally died in his apartment and I only found out because I came into the hall to walk my dog and the paramedics/cops were there. No communication from management. No mention.
Calling it a ‘gym’ is a real stretch. There is a tiny rack of free weights and a few treadmills. One flat bench.
No concessions have ever been made or offered in regards to these changes or shortcomings. I moved out well ahead of 60 days before my lease ended and they weren't willing to work with me in any way, shape or form to cut a discount.
